About Unexplored 2: The Wayfarer's Legacy
RPG? Adventure? Strategy? Unexplored is a genre-bending adventure. A procedurally generated open-world RPG where you will explore worlds beautiful and strange. Fantasy fans will find it subtly familiar yet entirely new - a wild world of elemental spirits, bright colors, and layered history of politics, magic, and legends.
With its unique blend of challenging, strategic, and slow-paced gameplay, the emphasis here is not on combat, but on the path you carve through your actions and decisions. As you delve into the richly woven narrative and master the intricacies of the game, you'll be treated to an award-winning soundtrack and an impressive visual style, both designed to enhance your gaming experience.
And the journey doesn't stop there – Unexplored 2 continues to grow and evolve, thanks to our dedicated team's regular updates. This ongoing development is our commitment to refine, expand, and perfect your adventure.

A Procedural RPG in a Boundless World
Unexplored 2 offers a vast, rich fantasy world that unravels over several journeys. Our game breaks away from traditional RPG norms, eliminating grind, XP, or gold, and instead, focusing on your choices and their far-reaching consequences.
From the safety of Temple in Haven, you will select a wayfarer, a quest, and prepare for the journey ahead. Each journey will see you traversing varied landscapes, interacting with diverse peoples, encountering mystical creatures, and unearthing ancient ruins. Each discovery brings you closer to the ultimate goal of taking the Staff of Yendor to the Prime Elemental Forge in the First Valley and to destroy it once and for all.
A World Finite Yet Infinite
In Unexplored 2, life and death have profound implications. Each wayfarer that sets out from Haven might not return. You will have to manage your roster of wayfarers carefully. Choose the quests that you think are achievable with your current wayfarer’s skills and resources. While traveling keep an eye out for new characters that might be recruited to join your cause.
Should you die, rest assured that there is always a new wayfarer ready to bear the burden. However, only try the final mission to destroy the Staff of Yendor when you think you are fully prepared to face the dangers of that quest. For if you fail then, that world will be lost. Forever.

In it's current state the game is genuinely so bug riddled that it's unplayable, I don't know what update has caused it but when I look at youtube it seems to be a much healthier and fleshed out game then what it is now, I've had to start like 4-5 different runs, one ended because the world didn't create a path to a quest location so I was soft locked, and the one that made me decide to quit was this "bir's tomb" quest, and I was like "oh okay its a skill issue" then I go to the discord (there was one helpful person) to ask for help, and reading in the discord leads me to think the Devs have all but abandoned this for their new game. But I find on the steam page someone reporting this same bug last year, and in the discord someone reporting it two years ago? How has this bug made it this far?7 found this helpful
this was a game i really wanted to like and enjoy, but really i just lost the patience with it... first it was the general bugs with the generated maps and zones, than the broken puzzles... than it was the saving feature being broken, which made it that every so often my save will be deleted by god knows what after 300 days in game... and reacuringly. Recently i bought a steam deck and thought i will give it one last try... only to have the game freeze every time i check my character tab... honestly i don't think this game wants to be played by me... and having my save issue ignored by the devs for the past year, i don't think it ever will. kudos to all that managed to play it an finished it...must be nice...4 found this helpful
Completed the tutorial and started to travel the map. Realized I hated the core mechanics of the game. Decided not to continue.3 found this helpful
One of my favourite roguelites, beautiful setting and soundtrack.
Bugged to the point where I can't even play it anymore. I've reported the bugs a few times, but it seems the devs have moved on to their next game.
love it!
