There was a potential in the early demo version, but now it's clear it was it's limit. This is basically a series of mini-games which in theory could have evolved in interesting rock/paper/scissors set of choices. But in the fact it's the same thing all the time. Either you are clearly superior due to surplus of actions against enemy or vice versa. Sometimes you repeatedly win despite that, because certain type of opponent makes same pattern of choices over and over again and so plays against itself. Hence, there is no game to be played. You discover pattern and win, or there is no set pattern and you lose no matter what because opponent just have 2 extra moves to counter whatever you did. Either way neither victory nor loss is earned, just suffered/given. It could have been salvaged by adding a few more variables that would keep momentum like throttle management -> speed vs radius to make opponent place bets whether you want to run or scissor to make him pass in front and actually make the choices meaningful. It's a short game, but it's capacity to entertain is way shorter yet.8 found this helpful
Looked like it would be entertaining and enjoyable...boy was I wrong. The first 2 or 3 missions went okay. The game doesn't really give you much control over what happens, you get some choices and even then the results are random. After a few missions the game basically screwed me over and I lost everything thru no fault of my own. Sorry but that is not enjoyable at all. Needless to say I quit playing and got a refund on the game immediately. The idea of this game seems cool, but the execution is terrible. Until the randomness gets pulled back for more player control over the outcome of things I wouldn't waste my time again nor should anyone else.
This game is a yesn't. Really fun mingame but not a great game. You might spend 30 minutes played on a semi-daily basis. Until the Last Plane is extremely shallow in many aspects to be a game, but really good for a minigame. It is a simple game about managing arfields during WW2, the problem is that you don't really manage them. Yes, you can buy more planes and ammo, but you can't replace or upgrades the planes you lost or bought. You also don't lose a plane in fights, but when they are damaged waiting to be repaired (with the pilot usually in it). Speaking of fights, they are minigames, some of which are really easy (like dogfighting) and some which are downright impossible without the proper plane (like artillery bombardment). Some aircraft are just that bad being unable to fight at all (cof cof P-47), while others are just you go to plane (like the P-40). Also, if you expect the automatic do its thing, well, don't. It is highly likely that you will lose a mission because of jt. One cool thing are the side quests, where at the start of each day, you will receive some visitors, which can help and cause problems. One really cool is that you can get an Ace in one of them. Overal…
Not enough to do in this 'game'. It is as shallow as a game can possibly be. You will experience everything this game has to offer in literally 30 minutes; trust me, I stuck it out beyond 2 hours searching for something new and there was nothing.
Not a bad mini game.
