About Vellar

Warning: This game contains flashing lights that may trigger seizures in people with photosensitive epilepsy. Player discretion is advised.Vellar is a first-person psychological horror game where reality fractures, memories return in fragments, and recordings tell a story that doesn’t add up. Explore a shifting house and uncover a truth buried deep within a past you may not fully remember.

Story

A family is dead — but the recordings left behind reveal events that don’t match reality. As you explore the house, you will begin to piece together what happened in the days leading up to their deaths… and why certain memories feel disturbingly familiar.

Gameplay

Search through distorted rooms, collect items, solve environmental puzzles, and listen to unsettling recordings left behind by the house’s residents. Each tape reveals another fragment of the past, slowly pulling you deeper into a truth that refuses to stay hidden.

Apparitions

You are not alone. An ancient entity bound by a forgotten ritual still lingers within the house. It watches, reacts, and grows stronger as you uncover recordings from the past — and as your own memories begin to break apart.

Items & Interaction

Explore every corner of the house, collect useful items, and interact with your surroundings to uncover hidden clues. Every object may be part of a larger truth — one that connects the house, the recordings, and your own forgotten memories.

Really enjoyed this! Can tell the game was heavily inspired by PT/Visage/Madison. Something of this scale done by a solo dev is really impressive. Could use a touch of optimization, but otherwise definitely enjoyed the playthrough. Looking forward to more!

Such a fun game! Played this game live on tiktok, gave great interactions and jumpscares. I enjoyed the entirety of the game. I also enjoyed that it wasn't an overly long game or stretched out game! The beginning was a little confusing on what to do but once you get past the first few minutes, it is pretty simple to follow along. Good job to the creators.

honestly the first 20 minutes of the game were scary but the rest of the game just felt like a walking simulator with a jumpscare every now and then. Plus the game doesn't hold your hand at all you just kinda have to figure everything out with no hints. I love horror games but sadly I gotta rate this a 3 outta 10

Vellar genuinely felt like a mash up of Madison and Visage, which in my opinion wasn't a bad thing at all! The only negative thing I have to say is that the doors could be a tad easier to maneauver (they felt a bit "sticky") and I had a couple fatal errors but that could be the engine that they used. Overall I think the game is worth a play through and I'm curious to see what other games come from this dev in the future :)
