What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players praise the detailed photorealistic recreation of the crime scene and appreciate it as a historical piece for those interested in the subject matter, though some note the impressive work for a solo developer. Common complaints center on poor performance (especially on Steam Deck), lack of interactivity and narrative content, locked 30fps, and missing features like graphics settings, widescreen support, and crouch functionality. Overall, players see potential in the concept but feel it needs optimization and more interactive elements to justify the experience.
Runs on Steam Deck via Proton at around 6FPS. Walking around is fast, but moving the camera is very slow. The photorealistic graphics are amazing. I think with some graphics and lighting settings options, this would work amazing. Great job so far!3 found this helpful
Utter crap, was hoping for a good bit of narative contenet or interactivity but nothing. barely runs do not buy this, refunded.3 found this helpful
An amazing piece of work - the detail in the recreation and the work that has gone into Virtual Crime Scene - Apartment 213 is truly impressive. Understanding that is a single person and not a team of developers, some future updates I would love to see: - wide screen support - Ability to crouch - Graphics / visuals adjustment Anyway fastastic acheivement and I recommend for anyone interesetd in the case or history.1 found this helpful
This is great for anyone wanting to get more of an in dept look of the 1991 crime scene behind the well known serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer and his 924 N 25th st. Apartment in Milwaukee Wisconsin.1 found this helpful
Meh I know it's not a "game" but locking it to 30fps and forcing all of the filters on was a bit annoying. Interesting idea though, I hope this dev does this with more crime scenes, but does it better.1 found this helpful
