Very reluctant recommendation, as the driving, shooting and fighting is enjoyable and 1947 LA feels very immersive - you just can't escape the feeling that they intended to remake the whole game and gave up when they realised how much work it would be, but then sold what they had at full price anyway. Could easily have been of the best VR games but, as it is, it's basically a short tech demo that feels more like a tease - "Look at what you could have played"! Wait for a heavy discount or you'll probably be disappointed, unless you really want to know how it feels to wear a big hat in VR. There are just a handful of stripped-back non-sequitur cases which, if you're unfamiliar with the full game, will make little sense and it lacks the help of the full version for finding the clues. I often suffer motion sickness in VR but had no issues here, however it's let down by frequently teleporting you about instead of letting you move there yourself, which breaks the immersion. Yes, I can understand the need for getting in/out of your car, but at least let me walk from the car to the crime scene! Can confirm it works fine on Quest 3 (tested running through Virtual Desktop). You will need a…

I was really thrilled to give this a go, but then I realised more than 75% of the cases aren't in the game yet they charge a high price? Why wouldn't you add the cases considering how good the reviews are? Refunding, will buy when and if the FULL game is released to VR.

Fun but a bit janky. Worked well with Meta link on quest 2, even over wifi. Some of the missions like the shootout in the beginning have weird mechanics like the shotgun, you cant really aim with two hands without accidentally pumping it and ejecting a shell. On the other hand, the hand to hand combat is really well done, its really fun to throw punches at suspects and physically dodge and duck theirs. Overall pretty good, you can write mean words on the notepad and beat people up.

One of the best experiences I've had in VR, Enjoyed this so much just wish there was more of it. It doesn't have all the cases of the original but is still a lot of fun. Time for a sequel here Rockstar!
