About Unheard - Voices of Crime
Listen to conversations from past crime scenes through a mysterious device and piece together interconnected cases by tracking voices, matching suspects, and uncovering hidden motives in any order you choose. This audio-driven mystery lets you decide the narrative flow, replay clues as needed, and solve open-ended cases where anyone could be guilty and nothing is handed to you.

A Unique Case-Solving Experience
Discover the truth hidden in the voices from the past.
Step through time as you use our device to eavesdrop on conversations from past crime scenes. Every clue, every move, and every motive will be presented in the form of audio. Rather than controlling any one character, you only need listen to their conversations, following along as the story evolves. Use the information you hear to match names to voices and determine how everything (and everyone) is related. Can you discover the truth?

Open-Ended Narrative Mystery Game
Explore the story and piece together the puzzle in your own way!
Don't expect to be "fed" a pile of clues. Rather, take the role of a fly on the wall, observing and listening to the events as they unfold. Anyone could be the culprit; key clues may be revealed at any second; any character's storyline may cross paths with another at any point in time. YOU be the editor—the order of the story is up to you!
——————————————————————————Tributes To:
Detective Fiction: In Unheard, all the clues in a case will be presented to players. There's no hidden information, nor rooms that require a key to enter. Players will be privy to the same information as everyone present at the crime scenes.
Immersive Theater: All characters in Unheard have their own storylines; however, each of these storylines will become interwoven in the same space, and at the same time, resulting in complicated cases that force you to meticulously search for and track clues. You can choose to follow one character or move around between multiple characters. You can also replay the audio as many times as you want until you reach a conclusion.
Radio Drama: Unheard is, in a way, an interactive radio drama. By combining aural narrative techniques with the type of exploration elements present in video games, Unheard offers a brand-new, non-linear radio drama experience.
Special Thanks:
Special thanks to our voice actors and directors in both China and the U.S. Thank you for your continued hard work and support.

[WARNING : This game requires you to sign up a EULA to play it, something that I only noticed after purchasing the game. Which kind of pushed me to not recommend this due to not appreciating this kind of practice even if it was disclosed already] My feelings towards this game are complicated... I was introduced to this game in 2019 (which I just realized was the same year of its release) by a friend who told me to check it out and enjoyed myself thoroughly playing it. But now that I've bought it myself and played it again after 6 years ... I don't know, it's not holding up to what I've experienced before. If I had to sum it up in one statement : The idea is amazing, but the execution is lackluster. - The game doesn't rely much on its main medium to enhance the experience or make it more challenging. The most you can get is the occasional impersonation or picking up on voice tones in calls to figure out whether it's coming from inside the building or outside. Besides that, the cases are as simple as they can get. All you have to do is be at the right place on the right time, listen, and that's it. No sleuthing or deductions needed. The only exception being the DLC, becau…2 found this helpful
Agree with the other reviews -- concept cool, but execution is quite weak. Disclaimer, i played this in English and not in its natively published language. The voice acting was very mediocre/weak for a game purely built on audio. That and the writing are very cheesy and cringe, making the game feel like such a slog. Additionally, I feel like there was very little deducing needed. I wish there were more leaps in logic needed... I feel a lot of the characters did monologues and you just had to wait for them to admit something. The game is very short (5 levels), so this was disappointing. Completing the game only takes so long because you're physically limited by the length of the audio clips and how fast you can listen to them. Overall, I wouldn't rec. Maybe it's better in Chinese? But in English, the execution is a huge miss and I didn't enjoy this that much at all... (Luckily tho, I got this on sale)1 found this helpful
cases become harder to solve as you face more characters, rooms and situations. every story i played in is interesting, addictive, fun and HARD. for non-native speakers, i think this is the best game to improve their listening skill in english. recommended!!!
Played in English. The concept is great. The writing itself is interesting at best and abysmal at worst. The plot and voice acting are both painfully awkward but the story does offer a half-explanation for it. The gameplay is next to non-existent. I don't think it's a BAD game nor a waste of time or money - but I don't think it's compelling enough to recommend. There are point and click titles that make much better crime/detective games.
You feel a lot like you're putting together the pieces of a real mystery, which is hard to come by in this genre. The voice acting varies, sometimes on purpose, but the experience and the stories are put together very well. I've played the base game and the DLC twice now, and I only wish I could play more.
Honestly the best 5€ I've spent in a long time! loved how the story was crafted, huge recommendation!
