However, I'm still giving it a negative review because it's simply too buggy. First of all, the driving test doesn't work in VR. You just get put in a black & grey room where nothing happens. Second of all, at least one of the driving lessons was totally bugged. You start out in a grassy areas and have to go through the bushes, except you can't (the AI driver can). However, as inexcusably buggy as it is, I think it does teach some driving. If you're serious about learning to drive, I do think there's some value, especially when it's on sale for $10 USD or less. You'll learn something and get comfortable behind the wheel. You just have to be okay with the bugs, which I don't think will ever get patched, but I may be wrong about that. Negatives: if you try to use keyboard for driving - it is just a disaster (as of today) - my advice for developers would be to focus on some basic things instead of adding some random features that I see on the timeline. I got this game for my gf to get better with real-world-driving as she learns to drive, but game requires to develop in-game-driving skills. E.g. steering on the keyboard is just a pain, it could be fixed with some self-centering for the car. Also game looks incredibly slow on macbook pro M2 pro 32gb, I had to go to the lowest settings to run this - which is not that much of a problem for me here, but I think this has good optimization potential. Neutral: I bought the wheel (before I was going to just request a refund) - Logitech G29 on mac runs much better (wheel has it's own problem of not allowing 900 degrees rotation. It is fixable but might be a pain to do). But still you get quite weird experience of game being unforgiving to minor violations that are clearly coming not from me trying to break the rules but from inability to handle in-game car impeccably. This has come from a broken unplayable demo to fully functioning sim. My G29 works perfectly fine, it can even navigate the main menu. The game gives you a demonstratio before you complete the lesson yourself, but it has some issues. Playing on Left Hand Drive some signals seems to be shown at the wrong side. Like overtaking a parked car, it shows using left signal instead of the right. In one demonstration the car crashed into another car. The demonstration fails to show the driver looking left/right or the blind spot. All demonstrations should include these. Sound effects such as wipers and GPS audio cuts out randomly. The sim can help you will learning to drive, but focus on real life learning. Runs at 60fps for me, which is perfect.

Trying to use this in quest three was pretty useless. You are supposed to grip the steering wheel with the side button, but for the left controller, releasing the button does not release the steering wheel. the steering physics is weird when trying to make a left turn. There is a bunch of other things wrong with the way it works. Haven't used in in on the pc with a controller. That may be better.

Generally good but there is a problem with 1. One of the lessons start out of the street, on the green. While the demonstration shows the car finding a way, when the lesson starts they is no way out. 2. Lack to observe penalties. Please make a toggle button for this. To charge minor penalties or not. 3. Parking. Where is the parking lesson? I mean come one guys, please make it at lease whole before launching uber driver career trainings.

I would recommend this, but not as a game, I'm recommending this as a tool for learning to drive. It isn't perfect by any means, but my fanatec dd wheel works okay. This does need a lot of improving, the mirrors have a lot of objects not appearing, also I seem to keep getting "didn't observe" when I couldn't do more observing, the steering lags, the turn isn't 1 to 1, VR is usable, but the turns on roads seem to be very sharp and fast. This isn't a driving sim, and if i was reviewing it for the sim aspect, then it would fail in every regard. as a learning tool it is okay, you will probably learn something, it doesn't replace actual driving, but it does help.
