VoiceATC Simulator

all in all, this has huge potential to be a great game. it has everything u need; worldwide coverage (thx to navigraph), functional voice recognition, and relevant airlines to your position that does add an aspect of realism that for the most part negates the negative aspects and flaws this games got for one, the voice recognition (at no fault of the developer, its a third-party voice recognition tool) is just not completely there yet. some phrases well have to be *extremely* enunciated in order to register, i.e the command "contact center on.." will often be interpreted as "contact sensor" and as a result a/c will completely disregard the whole instruction which sometimes becomes a bit infuriating when controlling a high influx of aircraft. for context, i have the blandest midwest accent of all time and i will still have to repeat the handoff with an emphasis on omitting the "t" in order to register as "center", which sometimes just becomes mildly infuriating and kinda ruins the immersion for me, but thats a personal struggle and i havent done the outreach to see if this is a common issue, just sharing my experience another flaw that ive ran into across multiple different positi…

Love the Game, there are some bugs but thats alright since they are beeing worked at. All in all it works really great, aircraft follow what you say and understand 95%. The directs dont work at all yet and i think some "expedite descent/climb) aswell as level at "xyz", the "Station, hello identified" so that they dont contact you constantly when you dont have instructions for the planes and maybe add a tower station aswell...

The game is so far, the best ATC games on Steam. The voice control is about 95% there so that makes it more realistic. There are a few bugs but they don't detract from the game and they have made it easy to report them.

I'm relatively new to VoiceATC Simulator (running v6.0.1.16 as of today). For an early access game - especially one as ambitious as this game - I am very impressed. I love the Navigraph integration and the ability to mod the game. For those that wonder about the voice integration, it took me an hour or two for me to get comfortable with the voice commands and for the game to learn (I think) my speaking style. After that initial investment, I have been able to run extended sessions with little issues, and when a command is not recognized, I will use the mouse interface as a back-up. I also recommend that new users turn down their microphone gain in the settings menu. This helped improve voice recognition for me. And, where possible, use a decent microphone.

It does scratch the itch for a good simulator. Some bugs are present currently. Some of my traffic just vanishes off the radar. The text is small and stays the same size even when zooming in. This needs attention as I cannot make out some of the waypoints. Also a list of waypoints and how to pronounce them would be nice. Not all the waypoints are working which can be frustration. Voice seems to work perfect for me with no issues. Would like emergencies to be implemented.

It all looks great, until you actually start the game. For me, the voice recognition just didn't work. Even the readbacks from the planes I couldn't hear. I tried open-beta version which fixed the issue of the planes I couldn't hear but voice recognition I couldn't fix on my side. With this state of the, I unfortunately can't recommend buying this game. However, all other things work flawlessly and I did not have any other issues. I think it has bright future, if it resolves it's issues.
