Loved the gameplay loop and the creative upgrade system. It’s the perfect bit of “grind” to keep pushing for better weapons, and it runs smooth on my RTX 3060. Pros + Fast-paced, satisfying gunplay + Many cool weapons that can be upgraded + Creative powerups and abilities + Good sense of progress Cons - Small stutter right as the first wave spawns on each map - Some enemies occasionally get stuck on geometry - Not many planets to explore, but guess this will be added later on Overall, if you dig wave-based shooters with addictive progression, Void Vanguards is absolutely worth your time.5 found this helpful

Stay away the game is very poorly optimized. -10/102 found this helpful
terrible. 20 fps, super jittery, and 3 hard locks in 9 minutes of play. HARD PASS1 found this helpful
I've waited a few patches now, but I think I can safely leave a review for this game. This is quite honestly one of, if not THE worst Roguelikes I've ever played. The only form of meta-progression is via buying and upgrading your guns, so you can't build up stuff like EXP, EXP Gathering Range, Movement Speed, etc. Speaking of movement speed, all enemies are faster than you... MUCH faster, and unless you get lucky with level up rolls so you can start stacking movement AND sprint speed (yes, they're two different upgrades), you're going to get eaten. Quickly. Dodge? Maybe a Dash? Yeah, but those are skills on a cooldown, so they aren't exactly all that helpful or readily available. If you have to have a game like this one, and don't mind isometric, just grab Greedland. It has way, WAY more features, metaprogression, and is overall just really fun.
