One of the better student games, liked how flawless the light mechanic was. Platforming is a bit janky, but not too disruptive. Nice 10 minutes

VOIDBLADE is a surprisingly polished and tightly designed student project that delivers a satisfying 15-minute stealth fix without any artificial filler. Playing as a robotic Shadow Ninja infiltrating a dilapidated space freighter, your goal is to utilize dynamic shadows to sneak past deadly mechanical security systems.The core mechanic relies heavily on lighting and line-of-sight. You aren't just hiding behind crates; you are actively manipulating shadows and using your dash abilities to blink past turrets and automated patrol units. The 2D platforming feels incredibly responsive, heavily channeling the swift, punishing flow of games like Katana Zero or Mark of the Ninja, though on a much smaller scale. The particle effects and atmospheric audio layout pull together a surprisingly high production value for a completely free-to-play educational experiment. It doesn’t overstay its welcome, has zero grindy achievements, and works as an excellent showcase of minimalist stealth design. Highly recommended for a quick gaming break

the fact that this game can be completed in 12 minutes is actually wild. I'm not even trying to speedrun. This was a blind, casual playthough.

To be fair, I don't know how much time has been spent on this. But I've completed the whole game in 7 minutes: [list] [*] 2 in the settings, trying to lessen the game lags by switching from fullscreen to windowed (didn't work), and noticing that "muting" the game mutes the music but not the SFX, [*] 2 spent retrying the same section because the platforming is janky, [*] and the remaining 3 was actually playing the game. [/list] It's my first time playing a demo/prototype/student project this short with little gameplay. The esthetics are nice, the lore seems ok (even though it's litteraly nowhere in the game and could've been a plus), and the [i]idea[/i] of turning the lights off is nice but… seems like it can be ignored completely. Overall I feel like there [i][b]is[/b][/i] potential somewhere in there, but is very very far from being achieved.
