Voidwalkers - Astora's Darkness is a bit of a nightmare... it's a bunch of Unreal Marketplace assets dumped into a 2D top down shooter template from the same marketplace (from the looks of it at least), and the developer tried to make a survival/crafting game out of it, because you start out in what looks like the developers scratch pad for working out how to make the game work, as you're surrounded by junk that presumably the developer was using to test things. I couldn't work out how to get out of that level, I'm not sure if the levels in the screenshots were even available. So this is pretty much an asset flip, although I think the developer wanted to make more out of the assets but just didn't know how... and that's okay, we're all allowed to fail from time to time. The problem is, when we fail, we shouldn't submit our failures to Steam as if they were actual games, because that becomes a problem for gamers. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers. The developer couldn't even manage to make mouselook work properly. You can look left and right, but the up-down movement …

There is no game, it doesn't even seem like they know what kind of game they are trying to make and the controls are so janky it's annoying

I tried really hard to fugure out what this game was. And in the end all i found was a sanbox, with guns that dont fire anything, a crafting system that doesnt make sense, and about 20 megabytes worth of data they somehow stretched into four gigs. It baffles me that this is a game sponsored by epic (which you see in the intro screen) that has one of the worst gameplay experiences ive ever seen. Dont waste your ten minutes trying to figure it out.
