Another bundle game, and another "remake of an old classic" sorta. I don't want to say remake as if it was just the old game completely lifted and retooled for VR...but it was definitely heavily inspired by the old classic. So this is basically VR Centipede. For those who don't remember the old Atari classic arcade game, it was basically one fire button, a track ball, and on screen you had a series of mushrooms. From the top of the screen a centipede with several circular body segments would come down toward the bottom. If it hit a mushroom, it would stop it's progress accross the row and go down one column. If there happened to be a whole bunch of mushrooms lined up vertically, that could mean the centipede would have a fast track to the bottom. Oh and mushrooms took several hits to completely destroy, stayed in place between levels and got repaired between levels as well. Occasionally a spider would appear and bounce up and down across the screen in a zig zag pattern offering bonus points to the player based on how close the spider was when you shot it. So this game is basically that exact thing. Instead of being able to zip all across the screen with the trackb…

This is absolutely BRILLIANT. It is exactly what I was looking for in terms of game play after I saw the movie pixel. Instead of centepedes it is dragons. A few points for the DEV though. I think you may need to add and option or consider and option to change where the dragons come from due to having to look straight up for so long. It would probably be better to have the portal on nearly same level as they player away in the distance and have the dragons come at you from the back to front. As my neck after 15 mins is quite sore. This will potentially stop long game plays of this and probably people would refund it. I have set my graphics as high (event super sampling to 2.0) as I can to get the game looking its best but it still needs some tweeks I think. It still doent look as good as it possibly could, which seeing this is the focus of the game you might want to see what you can do. You may want to look at the brightness on the mushrooms and the dragons and lower them so they can look better as when they first come out they honestly look like just one colour with little definition as they seem too bright and you lose what they look like. . The movement thought was hard to work …

I've only played one game but I already like the concept. But I do have to say, "Oh, my aching neck!" Having to look up for so long a period of time really does create alot of strain on the neck. Thank goodness for heating pads, cuz I really needed one! Since seeing the film Pixels, I always wondered what it would be like to play Centipede or Millipede just like in the movie, Now I know. Good visuals, music and fun power-ups. Really kept me moving around, so that was a plus for me. I'm hoping future updates will tackle the present need to have to constantly look up. All that neck strain would certainly put a damper on my gameplay.

Cinetaped in VR... This is amazing! The only thing it needs is more game modes and a "campaign" mode of some kind. Love the Tron like intro and the game play is far better than I expected it to be. One question though, the stadium seems to have ads for sale, how much it would cost to rent a billboard or text space? Just curious.

5.5 out of 10 This is a surprisingly decent budget shooter, it's inspired by Centipede from the 80's. Sure it's a wave shooter, but props for convincingly reinventing an arcade classic in VR. It's not super difficult so you won't be destroyed within 5 minutes like most other wave shooters. So why the average rating, it's still indeed a wave shooter and a repetive one at that which you've seen and done it all within 5 minutes, waning replay value beyond a couple of hours.

If you even remotely love(d) 80s games, you will love this!
