Most of the game is just watching videos about the VTB United League (Russian Basketball League). They are 2D videos in a 3D environment. There's this (puma?) mascot that tells you all about it in Russian. The only locomotion is through teleportation. You can then teleport through all the videos and to the end of the hallway. There you can see some players of the VTB and their highlight videos. [u]You can also shoot hoops.[/u] So even if you don't speak Russian, you can still shoot hoops and it's okay. It's obviously not the best shooting hoops experience in VR, but it's not the worst either. I would say it's mediocre. However, it does keep track of your made baskets, including whether it's a 2 pointer or 3 pointer, which I thought was pretty neat. Finally, you can pick up the championship cup and you'll get transported to a firework display in space as We Are The Champions by Queen plays. Yeah, no joke. […

VTB Basketball League VR is a free VR experience. It worked on my system, sounded ok, played ok, looked ok, but was able to figure out everything. The voiceovers, video and in-game text is in Russian. You have a mascot following you around giving speeches. There is many videos to watch. You can hunt down water bottles and throw them into trash cans like basketball. Has a good half court basketball throw game, Five stations of balls that you can throw into the basket of a regulation court. Not hard to make some baskets if you use good basketball throws. You can dribble the ball too. You don't need to know Russian to play. Try it, if you like Basketball.

Игра "VTB Basketball League VR" – это довольно сырой, но потенциально интересный опыт для фанатов баскетбола. Идея погружения в атмосферу матча и возможность бросать мяч в виртуальную корзину в VR-очках звучит захватывающе. Однако, реализация пока хромает. Графика оставляет желать лучшего, персонажи выглядят угловатыми и нереалистичными. Физика мяча также требует доработки, иногда броски кажутся случайными и нелогичными. Управление интуитивно понятное, но не всегда отзывчивое. Из плюсов стоит отметить неплохую атмосферу стадиона, слышно гул толпы и комментарии, что добавляет немного погружения. Есть возможность выбора команд и режимов игры, хотя их количество пока ограничено. В целом, игра требует значительной доработки, но если разработчики продолжат её улучшать, то у "VTB Basketball League VR" есть шанс стать достойным VR-симулятором баскетбола. Пока же это скорее демо-версия, чем полноценная игра. Рекомендую подождать обновлений перед покупкой.
