Wacky West is a crazy roguelite set in the Wild West! You are the sole survivor in a dangerous post-apocalyptic world. Fight hordes of mutants and zombies, collect materials, and upgrade your equipment to face the toughest bosses. In the sun-scorched Arizona desert, every day is a fight for survival! Craft increasingly powerful weapons, upgrade your gear, and save your cat - your only friend in this unforgiving world!

Wacky West is the wildest west on Steam. You'll need a keen eye and quick fingers to take on the toughest bosses. The atmospheric music and desert landscape of the map will provide you with the highest level of immersion. Zombies and mutants won't let you go, but they don't know that justice has looong guns!Key features:
- Create weapons: A unique arsenal of weapons, from auto-aiming machine guns to rocket launchers and flamethrowers.
- Gather resources: Use everything you find along the way - scrap metal, trash, and other materials - to craft tools and weapons.
- Fight bosses: None of them will go down without a fight. They'll throw grenades, unleash hordes of mutants, and do everything they can to stop you.
- Traps and power-ups: Avoid dangerous barbed wire, acid puddles, and other traps. Collect useful items—both consumable and functional—that will help you throughout the game.
- Test different modes: After defeating the final boss, you can continue playing in infinite mode, with greater challenges and double rewards.
- Grow in strength: Upgrade your equipment, create new weapons, and unlock maps. Each game opens up new possibilities for you.

As a ex-lead game designer myself, I can say that this is a simple, yet well balanced and designed game. What it is missing is monetization, but from a gamer's pov, this game is great. I wish the best for the dev team future, and look forward to their career with interest.1 found this helpful

I stumbled across this gem by chance and have to admit, it's worth checking out, especially considering that it's free and a small-scale project. In terms of level design, the idea of using bosses as DPS checks is a pleasant challenge given the short lenght of one run. The idea of granting perks for a certain number of upgrades is also great and adds a new layer of decision-making. In terms of upgrades, there are plenty and almost every single one of them fells impactful when you purchase them and start a new run. Just like the weapons, one of which supports you during the run, that can also be upgraded in between. Each one provides a different playstyle and the visualisation is realy neat. At this point I'm not far enough into the game to see if there is an endless mode, but I’m sure there will be. The only minor drawback, or perhaps just an idea, is that: at the start of a run the first selection could have a fixed rarity. This the level of rarity (aka stars) could then be adjusted through an upgrade like the gear and weapons. Otherwise one might be inclined to restart runs over and over to get a 'better' start. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing game that showcases the skills of the dev team. I wish this was a paid game that had more content but as a free-to-play game it has enough in it that you'll enjoy it for a weekend
