Wacky West

It's fun. Pick and play, small time killer, progression and build customization. Good visuals, stable and performs well. Power boost if you pay. But not mandatory, just need to be more patient and grind a bit. Limited variation of game mechanics, but that's also typical for games of this type.

This game is perfect for zoning out and not thinking too hard, just reacting. Exactly the kind of game I needed right now! And it has a ton of personality and charm that keep me comfortable with the repetitive nature of it. The progression is really slow, but it's there, and for a game where I don't have to think much that's just fine. I'm shocked this game is free because I absolutely would pay a little money for it, they clearly put in a lot of effort and heart! Yeah there's some bugs/rough edges but I bet they would've fixed it if they were getting paid. It's truly incredible for a f2p passion project to be this good! Thanks for making this gem!

I stumbled across this gem by chance and have to admit, it's worth checking out, especially considering that it's free and a small-scale project. In terms of level design, the idea of using bosses as DPS checks is a pleasant challenge given the short lenght of one run. The idea of granting perks for a certain number of upgrades is also great and adds a new layer of decision-making. In terms of upgrades, there are plenty and almost every single one of them fells impactful when you purchase them and start a new run. Just like the weapons, one of which supports you during the run, that can also be upgraded in between. Each one provides a different playstyle and the visualisation is realy neat. At this point I'm not far enough into the game to see if there is an endless mode, but I’m sure there will be. The only minor drawback, or perhaps just an idea, is that: at the start of a run the first selection could have a fixed rarity. This the level of rarity (aka stars) could then be adjusted through an upgrade like the gear and weapons. Otherwise one might be inclined to restart runs over and over to get a 'better' start.
