"Wake Up" is a kind of low poly/minimalist VR exclusive "escape room" where you need to solve some tricky puzzles to wake yourself up, which you'll definitely want to do to stop the nightmare of all these really mediocre games on Steam. Well, it does seem to be genuinely made, but that doesn't mean it's a great experience. This features fairly low quality low poly 3D visuals which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and it's clear the developers behind this didn't understand that. This seems to have been made VR exclusive to prevent comparison with more professionally made games, a comparison this would fail very badly at. Developers must try to understand that if the only "cool" thing about their game is VR support, then their game is not cool at all. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to them…
