Instantly fight for your life. As you win, your enemy gets stronger, receives new abilities, but so do you! In the end it is VERY HARD, it's pure RANDOM & LUCK. Came back to this game, as I only had one missing achievement "U MAD?" - requires you to win 24 times. Had ~40 wins, nothing happened. Deleted all progress, started fresh, and in the very end a new boss level I didn't have before! And achievement pops! Time to 100%: 4 hours, but it includes 3 tries from very start + multiple wins in bugged run. Last run took me like 20 (?) minutes, maybe even less.

Walhall is a minimalist top-down shooter game with only 1 boss and 1 arena. The goal of the game is to die in order to get stronger and win in order to increase the difficulty of the game. In general, the game was OK, but I'm going for a negative review for a few reasons. The other games from the same devs have more than one song and it would've helped with the repetitiveness. The spikes debuff is really unfair. The fact that you can't control shooting with your mouse makes the game incredibly hard. Also, it's too fast paced, not sure if that's a refresh rate bug or not, but you can't really control the game that well. Lastly, I had to restart the game THREE times in order to unlock the last two achievements, because they simply wouldn't unlock. I killed the bullet-hell version of the boss around 15-20 times, where in my last gameplay both of the achievements I was missing unlocked at once after beating it one single time... I recommend to skip this one as it was frustrating and repetitive in a bad way, but I liked the idea of getting stronger while dying and the bosses getting progressively harder after winning.

Walhall is a compact retro-inspired action game developed by TheDreik and Xeneder and published by Phoenix Reborn Games. Rather than attempting to deliver a sprawling adventure filled with numerous stages and countless enemies, it narrows its focus to a single climactic battle that gradually evolves into an increasingly demanding test of skill. This design philosophy immediately sets it apart from more conventional action titles, placing the spotlight on player mastery rather than sheer content volume. It embraces the spirit of classic arcade games, where improvement comes through practice, memorization, and determination rather than character progression or elaborate storytelling. The game's central mechanic revolves around repeatedly facing a powerful boss whose attacks become familiar only after careful observation and persistence. Every defeat serves as a lesson, encouraging players to refine their movement, improve their timing, and discover the safest opportunities to strike back. While the premise is straightforward, the steadily increasing difficulty ensures that victory remains satisfying instead of routine. Success depends entirely on learning the encounter and reacting …

For some reason, unplayable.

It's a simple game, but it entertains me. The premise is simple: you and a boss are in a room together and one of you will win. But the fight seems to alter slightly with every result, so even after a few hundred battles, each one will be a little bit different. The developer did a great job keeping it fresh with each new try. Pick it up on sale for sure if it sounds interesting to you.

Good idea but a bad execution. I don't even know how to unlock new stuff and the game just repeats itself over and over and over and over over and over and over and over over and over and over and over over and over and over and over over and over and over and over over and over and over and over over and over and over and over over and over and over and over over and over and over and over over and over and over and over over and over and over and over over and over and over and over over and over and over and over. 2/10 over and over and over and over over and over and over and over again.
