✦ AI summary

Players appreciate this Vampire Survivors-like for its low price point and quick gameplay loops, with some finding fun in the varied characters and potentially overpowered builds. However, most criticize the game as barebones and repetitive, with limited skill selection (only one equipped at a time), visual clutter, buggy upgrades that don't work as intended, poor controller support, and insufficient depth to keep engagement beyond a few runs.

I did not like it. I've been sitting here for 2.5 minutes, trying to come up with at least some manner of words I could use to paint the experience as a positive one. But, alas. I have none. It's a survivors-like. Bullet hell. Bullet heaven. Mobile Tower Defense Simulator where You're the Tower. Ultimately, you're a character that moves around for 10 minutes killing things. The first 10 minutes are such a lackluster experience I simply could not fathom spending more time with it. Yet, I did somehow. Also, if you're playing with a keyboard and mouse you'll probably be blighted with the impossibly very real thing of the default windows mouse cursor serving as some kind of additional crosshair. So, I played with a controller to avoid that. Anyway... Didn't enjoy it enough to give it more of a chance than I did. It's missing all the bells and whistles you'd expect from something in this genre. Upgrades from leveling up are pretty lackluster. Music seems to struggle when the boss shows up. Enemy variety is pretty limited during your 10 minute window of killing things. I enjoy this genre, so I take no pleasure in expressing my dislike of the title. But, in a world where…

Very barebones, only several skills and for the whole run you can use only 1. Visually looks very clusterf*cky. A good amount of upgrades don't even do a thing. Choose "get 25% more damage" - damage stays the same. There is no meta progression, you just unlock some characters, and powers, but you can only select 1 power, which usually equals to 1 upgrade on level up.... This game becomes repetitive after a few runs. One of the most boring survivor-likes.

It's a fun game for a Vampire Survivors clone. But unless you want to max out every achievement on every difficulty setting, then once you unlock everything, there's not much you can do. Which is very much the typical "Vampire Survivor Clone experience" for me. Still, I enjoyed it.

I think this is my first time playing a Vampire Survivor-like game before and at its $1.49 price point I think it's well worth it! Sure there are MANY improvements/QoL that can be made but I'm fine with how it is seeing how I read in another review that the dev made it in only 2 weeks and I assume there won't be much updates to it anymore since they're developing a sequel to this game. I'll admit one thing though... I have no clue how the title relates to the actual game :/

controller support here is a joke. menuing is like playing an RTS on the Super Nintendo. graphics are confused, empty, and uninspiring. gameplay brings nothing new here.

this is a fun 20 minutes till dawn kinda game, there are like 6 characters with special abilities, unique weapons, and maps with their own list of enemies, there are also about 25 unlockable skills each with different effects although only one can be equipped at once, all of these (besides the starters) have to be bought with keys, you get keys by playing the maps and get more keys the longer you survive. Pros: short survival time on each map making for a fun quick few rounds, builds (the weapons, characters, and random upgrades you pick) can be quite broken (killing enemies in one hit) which is always fun Cons: if there are too many enemies on screen than the music will start to flicker
