Exceptional game, tbh. Never played something like this. Dynamic and bloody Doom shooting with movement-based speedrun gameplay This game has all the things to be perfect. But honestly, it MUST be in each speedrun game to make it playable for me: + Immediate restart. Do 2s delay or load between restarts and you can just trash your product. Here is just zero irritation with expectations + Ghost with your best time + Short levels. It's so fun to grind same level to achieve -10ms, and grinding 5-20sec segments gives the feeling that you progress each minute. I hate rerunning something for a long time, even if it takes just a few minutes + Complex movement. The most important part to add deepness to the game. You move faster while jump, but can't change angle. You get acceleration when sliding. So for the best time you must find optimal route: best spots to jump, best spots to jump+slide. + Leaderboards. It works only with point above, coz hard-to-master movement makes it possible to achieve VERY wide range of score including milliseconds There are also some other nice things which wasn't mandatory, but makes game even better: + Each level has 5 difficulties which makes …
Fun enough speedrunning shooter but nothing that will blow your mind. You're certainly not going to get the polish that the likes of Doom or Ultrakill has. For example, the game could certainly do with better UI and some bug fixing, but it's a decent experience overall with good replayability.
ITS GOOOD
Do you like speedrunning? Do you like boomer shooters? If you said yes to both this game is for you, it's simply really fun.
DOOM speedrunner
Great speedrunning game. If you like replaying incredibly short FPS levels repeatedly, finding more efficient, quicker ways to get a slightly quicker time, you'll have a good time here. To explain some conflicting DOOM-like reviews, it has a DOOM-like aesthetic, but the majority of levels are 5 seconds - 30 seconds, a tiny few 30-45+ seconds. Hopping makes you faster, and you can activate slow motion to help with aiming without losing momentum, which makes it feel way different to play. I found the difficulty ramp up to be a bit slow in the first half of the first Chapter, but that's preferable to the other way with these games. If you like Neon White/SEUM, you'll have a good time here too.
