About Wattam

Wattam is a game about the joys of friendship and discovery, from the imagination of Keita Takahashi (creator of Katamari Damacy and Noby Noby Boy) and developer Funomena.

Friend Them All
In Wattam, more than 100 wacky and carefree characters are waiting to be unlocked and become your friends, from sushi to seashells, and gigantic trees to normal-sized toilets. The Mayor will be your tour guide through this whimsical world, as you dance, chase, climb, stack, float, explode and hold hands through all the fun.

A Game for Everyone
Play solo or co-op on the same screen with friends (parents and siblings count, too). You can pop in and out of multiplayer mode, so the choice is yours. The adventure takes place through all four seasons - Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter - so there's always plenty to do and discover, whether you're playing with pals or making new friends in Wattam.

Go Ahead, Goof Around :-)
Wattam is the ultimate goof-around simulation. See what kinds of silly things happen when you push the limits of the game's physics and animations to create crazy and comical results. Solving puzzles, uncovering secrets and playing mini-games has never been weirder or more wonderful. The sheer multitude of friendship combinations and hijinks means there's always fun in store.

Keita Takahashi’s Latest Game
The legendary creator of Katamari Damacy and Noby Noby Boy makes his long-awaited return to video games with Wattam, a dream-like sandbox adventure that has been in development with Funomena since 2015. In Wattam, Takahashi’s familiar themes of quirky creativity and inventive puzzle-solving combine with a zest for zany friendship interactions. Smiles are guaranteed.

This game is really something special, It's such a wholesome little experience with a ton of love poured into it. The music, the artstyle and the whole presentation of it just puts a huge smile on my face. gameplay wise it's rather simple and the puzzles are fairly easy to understand and solve. it's also pretty short, I beat it in 2.8 hours with no guide. There is unfortunately a really really big problem I faced after having played for 4 hours, the game randomly crashed and once I tried to open it again it would get to the main menu and then freeze and close, I tried for an hour to fix it but none of advice left by people worked, The studio that made this game sadly shut down in 2022 so I also couldn't contact them for any help. I now straight up cannot play this game, It's completely bricked which is such a shame :( If the game still worked I would rate it an 8/10, honestly buy it at your own risk

I adore this game in every aspect, but I simply cannot leave a positive review; simply put, this game is unfinished. Despite being put out a full year after the console release, Wattam on PC suffers from performance issues, game-breaking and immersion shattering bugs, and has a glaring bug that stops you from even beating the game on certain devices. I know for a fact that these bugs will never be fixed because Keita Takahashi and his team have moved on to other projects and the company that helped put this game out went up in flames, so I cannot in good conscience leave a positive review on one of my favorite games ever made because it will never be in a completed state.

Its weird, which is great, but the fun dries up pretty fast. Controls are not great and it is hard to tell if you are doing anything right. While I don't need another Katamari, which is so immediate, wait, never mind. I'm going to play Katamari now.
