Where the forest ends

It's a cool idea, you play as a dude called Herman who looks ex Bundeswehr, or Wehrmacht or something, and pretty just go around killing zombies and some humans in a unamed post apocalpytic world . The story is about as thin as they get, and the parts when you have a sidekid/buddy are really fun. The problem with it is that the combat is kinda boring quick, its easy to die, forcing you to replay areas, or take a very slow, dull and cautious approach which seems counter to the first maybe 10 minutes which are pretty brutal, you and pal Phil are just kicking ass, and pretty good. There's just not enough ammo or stamina for it to be any fun, lots of waiting to reload, or rebuild stamina and honestly it loses momentum I think if the sidekick was always around, it would be a fun game. With some buddy humour like Sam and Max Hit the Road, would make up for the lack of ammo and low stamina It could have been a realistic, brutal and gritty fast paced diablo 2 with guns and zombies, grim and dark, but it doesnt seem quite finished or fleshed out enough, and suffers from pacing issues, as if it cant decide if its an action or survival horror, and fails at both. Fun isometric game, Combat is good. cheap price. But tower mode is not interesting. Buy it and play this is good game.

Very fun! Firstly there are a few bugs. But I haven't had this much fun in a long time. The game play is real good. The amount of Gore is awesome! For those who worry about controller support. I played the whole game with controller. Only at workbenches for upgrades did I need to use a mouse. Game ran very well for me. Give this game a shot. I loved it. Pros: Value proposition is there! Its so worth the asking price. Gun play is great. Love the Shotty and the Axe. Only negatives: - Every enemy has the same line, "cover me" - The cutscenes are nothing great

It feels pretty good, I love the esthetic they have going. It's not trying to be million things, smaller projects like this are great.

So, after finishing it in relativly short time: Would I recommend this game overall? Yes. Would I recommend this game now? No. It needs a lot of refining, some of the gameplay is just a litte bit weird. I actually had no crashes whatsoever, but the autosaving points are just too random at some points - I would prefer maybe the option to save on some occassions but maybe only max. 3 slots or something. The gunplay is kinda confusing, because I can't really figure out where the shot is actually hitting the enemy. Also the game is sometimes very very easy and sometimes really hard - e.g. the last fight was a lot easier then some of the fights leading directly up to it. So after some patches maybe it will be more fun, but for now it was kinda lackluster. I also caught some spelling mistakes along the way.
