Developed by Sneaky Bastards and published by Balor Games, Wildfire is an inventive stealth platformer that transforms elemental magic into the centerpiece of its gameplay. Local co-op kind of broken/bugged.

A fun game with interesting mechanics that can be beaten in a reasonable length of time.

Just wasn't very interesting to me. It's not like I stopped playing at the tutorial or stopped playing before any actually interesting gameplay started. I got to the point where you actually start to play the main part of the game and it just wasn't that good. I don't think there's many more mechanics than the beginning that don't just make it easier to play the game as in the trailer and store page the mechanics it shows don't seem that interesting either. I don't really want to play this game for 5 hours just to find out.

I played this game local co-op with a friend of mine using my Steam deck. In this game, you play as a villager who, after touch a meteorite outside of your home village, gains magical powers. Unfortunately, an army of zealous knights invade your home, capture all your villagers and pet (I assume) bobcat, and attempt to kill you. You then proceed to go through various levels where the goal is to use your witchcraft and platforming prowess to get to the exist (usually with some other kinds of goals tacked on). As for your magical powers, you start with spirit and fire powers, and as you progress through the story, you'll gain water and earth powers as well. Each power can be upgraded by expending magic points that are acquired from doing certain things in each level. I should stress that its impossible to max out each power on a single playthrough, so you'll have to do New Game+ if that's what you want to do. So with that being said, don't make the same mistake I did and try to complete each objective on each level on your first playthrough. That's just going to cause a lot of tedium and pain.
