Become a zoo manager and take good care of your animal charges! Wildlife Park 2 brings you into "up close and personal" contact with more than 50 different animal species. Observe the lovingly animated, realistic interaction of the animals - with other animals, the landscape, the play equipment, or the visitors to the park! Just like in a real zoo, the animals must receive all-round care. This is as easy as winking in Wildlife Park 2: With a click of the mouse you can feed, doctor, pet, or even relocate animals, or get them moving. You will guide a team of landscape architects, gardeners, keepers, veterinarians, and scientists. If you manage your zoo carefully, you will soon be able to celebrate the birth of new animals!
Construct your zoo using more than 100 animal houses, visitor facilities, staff buildings, decorative park elements, and enclosure equipment. Wildlife Park 2 is an ideal playground for amateur architects, too! Use the extensive terraforming options to create your own imaginative landscapes. Plenty of established plant species and botanical rarities such us underwater plants or cacti will thrive under your loving care, and all this is lavishly displayed by a dynamic plant system. Another specialty is the realistically simulated flow of water. By easily placing a water source, you can create thunderous waterfalls and rambling water worlds.

For anyone asking themselves if this game is worth the money, Maybe. It's pretty basic, the playable area is small, visually is lacking by todays standards, and there are limited settings you can change BUT, if you have memories from this game, it scratches the same itch it did all the way back then. There is no 21:9 Ultra Wide Screen support. There is no Borderless Windowed mode. The game is locked at 25fps and there is nothing you can do about it. Crashes as much as it did, back in the day. BUT Concepts are easy enough for a 7 y/o to understand. Well thought out features and functions Decent layout and everything is pretty easy to find Nolonger need a Disc Drive You can add your old saves from the original game if you ever owned the CD-ROM copy (placed in User/Documents, not Appdata/Roaming, Program Files x86 or the Steamcommon folder, although all of these exist) I lost my disk copy at some point throughout all the times i've moved in my life, although i'm not sure it would even still work with how much i played it, from 07-11. Let this be the lesson of "Rose-Tinted Glasses"... I had this game when I was a kid - got it for Christmas 2006 back when games came on disks in a shiny, glossy box slightly bigger than a VHS case with a booklet. I know: weird... I really enjoyed the game back then, and was so obsessed that at one point that I brought the booklet to school to read at recess. All that, yet even back then I felt irritated that the guests never liked the park, even when hints were taken. Not only that, but the building engine in this game isn't grid-based, so that always straddled the line between nuisance and more creativity. Fast-forward to now. I buy the game on sale for half off ($3.89 Canadian) and give it a go for the first time in over half my lifetime (!) Aaaand, well... It irritated me much more as an adult, having grown into certain gameplay styles and developed my various unique idiosyncracies. In short, being an adult can really ruin your memories retrospectively. HOWEVER, I enjoyed the thing back then however much, so that's what matters. Instant classic. Reminds me a lot about how Black and White used to play. Loved these old tycoon/sims SO much, I'm glad I can play them again. ♥
