About Wired

Wire up electrical circuits and make your way through a derelict building to keep your appointment with a mysterious professor who lives at the top.

Wired is an atmospheric puzzle-platformer set in a derelict building which has remained untouched since the 1970s. In each room, you will wire up the lifts, doors, switches and fuel cells in order to get through. The puzzle mechanics are built on an accurate model of how electricity behaves and as you progress through the game you will solve problems that are not usually encountered until A-level physics.

Throughout the game, you encounter cine projector screens giving information you need in order to progress and slowly unravelling the mystery of who you are, why you are there and why the professor built this strange thing in the first place.

While student projects tend to be better quality than most "amateur" made games, we must still question what value such projects have for gamers. But with many rules, there's rare exceptions. This is some educational software designed to teach younger students about electrical circuits, volts, amps, resistance, all the fundamental building blocks for electric circuits and electronics. According to the developer, wired is a simplistic indie puzzle-platformer doubling as an educational experience. The game has the player solving puzzles by connecting electrical circuits and navigating through a derelict building. Progress hinges entirely on this wiring mechanic, all for the underwhelming goal of reaching the professor supposedly waiting at the building's summit... and for a bit of fun there's lulzy FMV sequences with that guy. The graphics in this game are really quite good, which at least makes the game look more appealing. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more t…

You'll learn the concept of electricity and it's logic, you will have to invest a bit of time and thought otherwise it's for naught.
