Sit Back and Grab Your Gamepads

xDasher is a frantic local coop game about dashing through monsters with the proper colour to get higher combos and scores. This is a game where co-op actually means cooperative, because all players share a health bar and any monster encounter requires every one to do their part.

The gameplay is entirely colour coded, meaning each of your team mates can only damage monsters highlighted in their colour. You need to attack monsters alternatingly and within a small time frame to kill them. Thus, xDasher evokes old-school couch co-op feelings, where you start yelling at each other, given the fierce battle against time, the hustle of aligning your tactics and knowing you will only make it as a team.

Unique Levels

Each stage is hand crafted and each run consists of a number of randomly picked stages. The demo includes a tutorial and three levels. In the full game there are additional boss battles which put your team to the ultimate test.

Online Leaderboards

In the spirit of arcade competition, your team also fight for the highest score on an online leaderboard.

As a team, you increase the score by killing monsters and advancing through the dungeon. Furthermore, each of your team mates can earn special awards to show off their prowess.

I had lot of fun playing this game so far! Its dashing mechanic is simple to learn but really fun to master! You'll want to try over and over to beat that stage in the best way possible. If you're looking for some good local co-op game to play with your friends and family, look no further!

I had the pleasure to be a playtester for this game and I can tell you: xDasher is an exciting and enjoyable game, no matter if you play it with friends or on your own. (But I personally prefer to play it as co-op.) There are lots of levels to beat, each facing the players with different challenges through various enemy types and obstacles. Some levels are more challenging than others, but it always feels very rewarding when you finally dashed through the last enemy and the door to the next level opens. The game uses the simple dash mechanic in different ways, which makes it easy to learn, because the answer to basically everything is dash. See an enemy? Dash! See a bottomless hole in the ground? Dash! Your friends are paralyzed? Dash! The music is catchy, and the playable characters are adorable (the yellow one is my favourite, because the hat kind of looks like Jake the Dog). And I love the sound the barrels make while walking through them. It reminds me of bubble wrap. In sum I highly recommend this game. The only thing missing is an entire level filled with barrels.

Super clean design that leads to a really satisfying core gameplay loop. Fair warning, the main progression/replayability is chasing high scores, so if that doesn't appeal to you it might be a short experience

It's a very neat Gameconcept. Allthough there is a Singleplayer, the game shines more brightly in coop. If you have friends who are up for couch coop you should give xDasher a try!

It's perfectly OK as a game. The concept is there as a co-op puzzle game, but my group got bored after an hour. For $5, it's a good couch-coop game.. but just good. 5/10.
