The writing is bad, the gameplay drifts between a top down walking sim, and a rail shooter without the rails.1 found this helpful
Well made game, inspired HEAVILY by Resident Evil Gaiden- which is such a unique experience, but this takes it up one notch higher. While the story is pretty bland, it does get better as you discover the mechanics of the game. Overall, I had fun with it- it's a satisfying experience if you wanna dig into this unique gameplay loop.
An engaging survival horror that mixes tongue-in-cheek tone with tense atmosphere. Fans of the genre will find a LOT of nods to staple games, but, at the same time, YWDHT stands out as its own thing: I did not know that you can feel tension and dread without meticulous inventory management, and close and perosnal combat is a chef's kiss! Some of the puzzles are too cryptic but do not spoil the whole experience. Give the game a shot!
