Due to the poor English displayed on the store page for Your Little Story: Winter, my outlook for the game started from a handicapped position even before I had installed it. First impressions do count, and for me, nothing breaks story immersion more than failings in the text or language. So it was that I opened it up for the first time with some trepidation. How did it fare? Let's find out. At its core, this short story is about meeting someone at a special time of year and developing a bond that may go on to become a romantic attachment. You play the part of Alex, whose gender defaults to the opposite of whomever you select from the two routes available. The game starts with Alex decorating the Christmas tree, slipping on a box whilst doing so, and falling unconscious as a result. (S)he then awakes to find a very attractive stranger in the apartment looking down with concern. This stranger claims to be a spirit sent to help decorate and ensure that Alex does not wind up spending the advent of New Year alone. From this point the story then follows repair or replacement of the decorations broken in the fall by the unfamiliar pair, and any developing warmth between the…

while I will play (and in most cases, enjoy) just about any otome game that i can get my hands on (that looks like it took longer than a lazy afternoon to make) sadly...this game falls a little short. my first play-through (guy) got me a bad end, so i checked the guide to see if it would be of help. I found one, and followed it. ..another bad end (despite it saying these choices would lead me to the good end) if you have an average to quick reading speed the game will last for about 20-30 minutes without skipping. i spent almost 2 hours making several different choices, all of which lead me to different bad endings. for the life of me, i cannot find the good ending. also, the girl has the exact same story, WORD. FOR. WORD.

A short review for a short game. Worth a playthrough to experience a New Year "spirit" helping someone hang toys (yes....toys) on a Christmas tree before the new year. So many questions about Christmas and New Year falling on the same night and the "spirit" being named Ricky no matter the gender. Not the best visual novel, but definitely not the worst. There are a few typos, but nothing can't be over overlooked.
Achievements
At the beginning, you'll choose male or female. This is the greatest choice of all. But not really, because the options and dialogue are the same with either. Play through with your favorite gender, then skip to get the endings with the other.

Only really worth it on special, but a cute little story. Glitches/Bugs: - I did a band ending path, but it suddenly jumped to the good ending, even though it didn't make any sense. - There were one or two times that the entire game just stopped and closed itself. Pros: - Extremely quick little story, perfect for a quick Christmassy feeling when you have only a little bit of spare time. Cons: - The game allows you to play as a male or female, with an opposite sex romance option, however the story is identical either way, with the only difference being pronouns, and which character art you see. So to get all the achievements, you can first play through the 4 paths on either gender, and then later just run through them quickly on the other gender using the skip unread text option. - Writing has a few errors, but you can understand what is being said. Other: - The skip function is automatically set to skip unread text. So you may want to change it's setting. - When the skip read text function is active, you have to deactivate it in order to move on with the story once you come across text you haven't read. - The first screen gives you a choice between male or female, but this is a…

Your little story: Winter is sweet short VN with great art - from sprites to CGs. The story is very short and kind of plain, but can still be quite enjoyable. Wait for discount if you want to try this one.
