A fun little game

[h1] Bubble Tanks [/h1] I'm joking, I didn't mean to trigger some nostalgia boners just now, but it is pretty fun, there is a lot of content in this little game. It does remind me of old Bubble Tanks-style flash games. Also, just right off the back, ignore the video trailer, Benjamin Nielsen or Luke Oostenbrink must have been playing on some ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ass computer or using some ♥♥♥♥♥♥-ass recording software. Not to worry, the game runs as smoothly as your computer will allow, which can (if your computer is good) lead to some annoying ass fights because the tanks fire with some precision and accuracy. It's not as easy as you might think, but knowing some geometry or having experience with pool, will help greatly. There are many mechanics that the game gradually introduces you to which makes for an easy difficulty curve. I enjoyed it, maybe you will. Give it a try yeah?

But what does it mean to YUT YUT? The word is reminiscent of the term "yurt", which is derived from the Turkic "jurt". In this essay I will

"YUT YUT" is an unabashed, lazy ripoff of Battle City (Copyright Namco, 1985). Many lazy "amateur" developers don't pay attention to their obligations under copyright law, and often steal the ideas of actual, real game developers without credit, such as the "developer" here has done. Putting aside the unethical intellectual, creative and moral bankruptcy of stealing someone else's game concept, this is also breaking that unwritten law of stealing other people's game ideas... you should at least try to do better than the game you're ripping off. "YUT YUT" is considerably worse than Battle City. The game is really simple and unambitious in terms of implementation, more of a tech demo or one of those cases where an amateur developer spends $100 to publish something on Steam Direct to see if it's possible. Yes, obviously it's possible. A proof of concept, tech demo, or something that's less than a little blip on the radar isn't offering anything truly valuable to gamers. In terms of visuals, this features really godawful MS-Paint tier "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or…
