✦ AI summary

Zombie Town VR is a short wave-based VR shooter with cute graphics that runs smoothly and offers quick entertainment for its low price, but players are divided on its value. While some appreciate it as a fun, accessible diversion that justifies its budget cost, others criticize the lack of content (beatable in 10-20 minutes), minimal polish, unbalanced weapons, and simplistic enemy AI patterns. Several reviews also raise concerns about the game being an asset flip using recycled Unity assets, which affects its credibility and perceived legitimacy.
Experienced on the Oculus Rift and Windows Mixed Reality
This is a 180 zombie wave shooter. I just can't recommend this game. There isn't enough here. You can beat the game on normal in about 10 minutes. There's also hell mode, which is just more zombies. I know it's only $1.99 USD and I bought it on sale for only .99 cents, but Zombie Town VR is basically a demo you're paying for. If those were a great 10 minutes of gameplay, I could maybe recommend it anyways, but it's more of a mixed bag. There are a good variety of zombies; there's exploding, freezing, gas, & healing zombies, among other enemy types. And there's also different weapons at your disposal, including a fire & ice gun, plus a shield. However, it's not polished enough for so little content. There are no settings whatsoever and the music is just a bit too loud for my taste. Also, guns just don't feel good to shoot. It seems like your starter gun is better than your special guns. Later on, the only difficulty is the sheer amount of zombies on the screen and the fact that the bigger zombies take longer to kill. There's also these little bugs like the shield not spawning correctly on your hand or not being ab…

It's a fun game. pros: - runs smoothly - cute graphics - simple to play - cheap (paid $3,00 on a sale) cons: - super small. - unbalanced, some weapons are way worst than others. - where you hit doesn't affect dmg (headshot vs hitting the chest) - limited paths for enemies, they always kind of do the same route.

Warning: Asset Flip!
Zombie Town VR is a Unity Asset flip, what Valve calls a "fake game". The "developer", B.H.C.M. Studio, took the Cartoon Zombies Pack Unity Store tutorial/demo/game asset pack from the real developers, Kalamona, changed the name, dumped it on a low poly town asset pack in the style of a Digital Homicide asset flip, and dumped the result onto Steam. They're attempting to scam people into buying this, so they can get your money for someone else's work. They made this VR exclusive to try hide the fact they're running a Chinese asset flip scam, but gamers are always wary of these things... the player count was just a lowly 6 players who launched it once then deleted it. Because this is an almost exact 1:1 copy + paste of the original Unity asset, it's in violation of the Unity Asset Store Terms of Service and EULA. Specifically, Section 2, Subsection 2.2.1a: [i]Subject to the restrictions set forth in this EULA, Licensor hereby grants to the END-USER a non-…

Honestly? For a literal single dollar, this ain't half bad. The main gun noise is super grating on the ears long-term but that's really about all I got to complain about. It's a cute little FPS wave-based zombie shoot-em-up that can be completed in like 20 minutes. 10/10 would spend another dollar.

Zombie Town VR is a lighthearted virtual reality shooter that takes the familiar zombie apocalypse formula and presents it through a colorful, arcade-inspired lens. Developed and published by B.H.C.M. Studio, the game avoids the grim atmosphere commonly associated with zombie titles and instead focuses on accessible action, bright visuals, and straightforward entertainment. Rather than attempting to deliver a deep survival horror experience, it embraces its identity as an easy-to-pick-up VR shooter designed to provide quick bursts of fun. The game's premise is simple: a peaceful town has been overrun by zombies and other strange creatures, and players must fight back using an assortment of weapons. The action unfolds from a first-person perspective tailored specifically for virtual reality, allowing players to physically aim, react, and engage with enemies as they approach from different directions. This immersive perspective adds excitement to encounters and helps compensate for the relatively simple gameplay structure. The feeling of standing in the middle of a chaotic invasion remains one of the game's most appealing qualities. One of the stronger elements highlighted by the g…
