Zombies and Orcs

I cannot recommend this game as it is. Pros: It has a fun loop and some satisfying kills with simple graphics that don't really get too annoying. Cons: Most of your towers are not fit to battle the massive hordes of monsters you have to face. And the ones that are good against hordes are often so short of range you have to cross your fingers and hope they work for that wave. There is no over arching upgrade system, so more rogue LIKE than LITE, but that's a pet pev not a big one. But, later in, the monsters just straight up start ignoring the paths. Not just flying ones but ALL the monsters do, but you still can't place your spikes, towers, and the like anywhere you want. So, you are just boned, and cannot win, at all.

I don't think this is a very professional effort. When I first purchased it, it had no .exe file, so you couldn't even start it. After about ten days they fixed that, but now it feels like zero effort was spent on balance. Earning currency is really slow, so the enemy pretty much walks right over me. There are only three towers, and they can only be upgraded with cards you get periodically, I assume based on a certain number of kills, not sure, but there is sign that those cards actually make anything better. There are three tactical opens, mines (which cost money and are not worth it, they are gone really fast) a blade attack which is free and very effective with with a long cool down, and a slow zone that doesn't really last very long, but it is free (with a timer) so I drop it now and again anyway. The game allows for a continue option, nut as there is no way to tell if the upgrades do anything, you can't tell if they carry over, either. As is, not worth it at any price, I don't think I would recommend this for free. Three thumbs down, but fingers crossed the developers are still working on it. ADDENDUM: The third wave of the second map seems to be impossible.

"Zombies and Orcs" is yet another construction kit template copy+paste from serial shovelware pushers, Gamesforgames/Atomic Fabrik. These guys do nothing but copy premade game templates and game tutorials, fill out a few things/stamp out basic levels using the construction kit templates, slap on an asset flipped set of sprites/assets, and dump them on Steam and into cheap nasty shovelware game bundles as cash grabs. Trying to get paid for someone else's game templates, assets... at best, this is shovelware, at worst, it's a scam/cash grab. This time it's a very basic set of stolen 2D retro pixel sprites dumped on a basic GameMaker Studio tower defense game template... absolutely zero value as a real game, but it was never intended to be. Again, the paid reviews from the Russian review farm uncovered by Sentinels of the Store, and a cash grab/scam price on it. Atomic Fabrik/Gamesforgames have shown a repeat pattern of unethically dumping other people's work onto Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab, through this account or through closely linked/alt accounts. Tf is even the second level. Everything is an rng. Currency to build, the upgrades you need, hell. You may not even get the upgrade you need, right before you die. Not like the upgrades help at all. Flamethrowers do jacksquat damage, even though it says they deal 1 damage while the shooter says 2 and shotgunner says 5. Though the Shotgunner also does jack squat damage. Abilities are useful yet you can barely use them.

Game is currently broken. Installs as a zip file rather than an dir structure. Try to run and wont find the application (because its zipped).
