✦ AI summary

Mars Horizon is a space agency management sim that players find engaging and accessible, with satisfying progression through milestones and fun mini-game mechanics that can be scaled to your preferred difficulty. Common praise highlights its addictive gameplay, real tension during launches, and the variety of tasks available, though some note that the choice of space agency feels cosmetic and the milestone structure limits true sandbox freedom. Players generally recommend it as an enjoyable casual strategy experience.
Space Race Management Without Requiring a Degree in Rocket Science
Mars Horizon gave me some very pleasant memories of Buzz Aldrin's Race Into Space (BARIS), only with considerably less danger of accidentally turning a space programme into an expensive national humiliation. You run a space agency from the early days of the Space Race towards Mars, developing technology, building rockets, expanding your base and conducting missions. There are several ways to configure the game; I played on an easier setting, which makes the whole affair noticeably more forgiving. The milestone system provides a clear sense of progression, although it can also feel rather rigid. Even the Sandbox Mode keeps the milestone structure, so there is no genuinely free-form option where you can simply ignore that historical ladder and merrily spend twenty years launching increasingly unnecessary satellites if that happens to be your grand vision for humanity. Diplomacy is a pleasant addition, but rather underdeveloped. Apart from the occasional transfer of knowledge and joint mission, the other agencies largely remain competitors politely waving at you from across the launch pad while…

Time I give a small review on this one as I see far too many comments that it is unplayable, boring etctera. Well, I finished the game a few years ago twice in a row.. and hey.. I did it again the last couple of days. I really enjoy the game. The mini game is fun and gets challenging at times. Most of the time it is easy enough unless you make it harder on yourself. Agreed to what some say: "The space agency you choose doesn't matter all that much". Other than that.. I love this game

I choose to play this game. I choose to play this game at this time and do other things, not because they are easy (even though I set it to easy mode), but because they are hard (the hardest part was hoping that I could collect all the tokens in time to complete the mission or get the bonus credit). You get to manage the space group of your choice (Space X not included yet) and launch your own missions to the moon, mars, and further! Maneuver brain-stimulating mini games (depending on your difficulty of choice) and settle diplomatic resolutions with both other countries and the public (they're usually easy choices) to grow your space organization to be the best, brightest, fastest, or coolest there is! AWESOME 'Space Tycoon Simulator' game with near-lore-accurate events and fascinating management gameplay mechanics. Highly recommended to anyone who likes space and managing space missions with some mini games here and there. Now, set coordinates to the nearest play button.. and..... Engage...!
