6/10 sometimes your crushing it and other times your getting crushed into a fine powder, snorted, shat out, used as fertilizer to grow a lemon tree that one day falls over and levels your family home. no middle ground. all based on what you get you can win in 2 turns with them having no chance or vice versa - you should be able to sell items you dont use - only 3 items can be purchased each round. gets worse the more stuff you unlock they need to make the shop bigger, twice the size - no level up system to make each playthrough easier, they just get harder and harder as you unlock more stuff. how about more starting gold???? - you have to win in x amount of turns is some real bs and i hate it. if the enemy can they will deadlock you in check to run out the turns

Fun chess Rogelite with some interesting chess changes - nothing too crazy that is doesn't feel like chess still. The devs keep an eye out on difficulty for bosses and AI improvements and do a good job of looking at the "bugs/issues" reported (in game button).

No steam cloud saves? Why T_T

Fun chess roguelike, it gives enough variation and difficulty to keep things interesting for a while. Can get a real good kick out of starting with an army of explosive queens. It also gives you a fair amount of retries to balance out bad RNG, but sometimes you are just screwed with your build against certain gimmicks. Since I do not care enough to challenge myself, there is not much after you have unlocked everything.

Not a bad chess-roguelike mix, however it does get boring quite quickly mainly because the chess board gets cluttered in a way that is not always fun and challenging, but rather tidieous. In overall I would still recommend the game as it has its fun moments that align well with the pricetag. I like the game, but it is unplayable after level 15. Its the same identical levels, just with less pieces and options. Means it all comes down to a less than 1% chance of a perfect randomly generated play through which allows you to win. Balance issues.
