Real-time fantasy battles: spectacular fight scenarios on grandiose battlefields, featuring thousands of soldiers and powerful heroes such as Sir Lancelot, Sir Galahad or Merlin. Battles rely on the strengths and weaknesses of the different arms with several tactical possibilities, the abilities of the units and the heroes, monsters and most of all, spells.
Turn-based Campaign Map: Britannia is represented as a fully three dimensional topographic map where heroes move freely, conquer provinces or find adventures. In the turn-based campaign the changing seasons have effect on the gameplay and the graphics of the Campaign Map.
Create your own legend! The saga of King Arthur is an epic tale about the conquest of Britannia through a story-based campaign. The Campaign is divided into chapters, like a chronicle, each with a unique tone and theme. The chapters all have objectives, long- and short-term goals that also fit together to draw a grandiose picture of an unfolding storyline. There are many possible events and outcomes that all influence the legend itself and determine the ending of the storyline.
Morality Chart: Every decision in the game will influence the position of King Arthur on the Morality Chart. King Arthur might become a Christian ruler or the Follower of the Old Faith; a rightful or a ruthless monarch. These choices unlock special contents, allies, heroes, units and developments.
RPG elements: Heroes lead the armies and learn skills, spells and abilities from an ability tree for experience points. Heroes can also use magic items or become liege lords, entrusted with the leadership of a province, which is the best way to have them indebted. Arranging their marriages with the nice damsels of Arthur’s court also raises their loyalty.
Adventures: adventuring is the essence of King Arthur’s world. Quests pop up on the Campaign Map regularly. In technical terms it is a short story where the chosen knight has to make important decisions. Some adventures end in battles on special battlemaps.

[h1][i]“On second thought, let's not go to Camelot. It is a silly place.”[/i] ~King Arthur[/h1] What's cool about King Arthur: The Role-Playing Wargame is that it's its makers' dream project. Let's get back to the late 2000s for a moment. The initial craze that started with Braveheart (yes, it was a movie-based game that started it all; deal with it) and was popularized in the legendary Shōgun: Total War was pretty much over. It wasn't like such games stopped appearing—exactly the opposite. What I'm trying to say is that people stopped wanting “more of the same”. They wanted the next big thing. And a young Hungarian team called NeocoreGames? They believed they knew exactly what that thing should be. Yes, the title says it all. They wanted to add an RPG element. The publisher, on the other hand, was rather skeptical. I mean, we all know about how it can be with the young teams. Lots of them have a childish “And then, and then!..” way of thinking, which, with a lack of experience, can lead to a complete disaster and make a publisher lose money. Here's the thing, though: Neocore were not such people. They were young, sure, but they had their own in-house engine, they already worked …

Literally unplayable. Soo many bugs. Launches with only the left top corner visible, unable to change resolution. Fiddling with the game files only fixes that one sometimes; wont work for the fallen champions spinoff that suffers from the same. If you can get this game to work, bully for you and all covered in jelly over here, looks like a pretty cool total-war-like game.

Keep crashing. heard that GOG version is better and saw a video where you can fix it. look up before buy it and stay away from steam version.

Paradox Interactive's decision to label Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Türkiye, as a "controversial figure" and ban players on official community channels is absolutely unacceptable. This decision demonstrates historical ignorance and blatant disrespect towards the Turkish nation. I will not support any products from this company until this arrogant attitude towards a nation's founding leader is corrected and a formal apology is issued.
