Fast Food Mania 3D is a "template flip", that is to say, it's a "game" that has been produced by copying a game template from GameMaker Studio, changing a few things, then dumping the barely functional "product" on Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab. In this case it was a GameMaker Studio template for doing a Match-3 game with asset flipped 3D looking sprites. GameMaker Studio is a very poor quality game construction kit, and results in terrible games like this one. No professional effort was made in terms of game development, using a game construction kit requires no game development talent, and unsurprisingly produces products that have little to no value as games, especially when compared to the work of professional developers who create genuine products for gamers. It's almost as bad as an outright asset flip. This is nothing but a lazy, greedy cash grab and should be avoided. TL;DR: Luke-warm thumbs up on this one if you've got .99 cents for the sale price and like the cute graphics. This game is kind of, well, strange. To swap items you must first click an item to get it to glow. You then have to quickly double click the item you want to swap it with. Why the double click? This is the first and only match three I've seen do that, and I really don't understand why. I liked the unicorn sweets title by the same company, but this one felt like I was brute forcing the swaps. That said, for the sales price of .99 cents USD it's an OK-ish title. I just wish the swaps we're easier to make (single click please) and there was more variety in backgrounds.
