Dungeon World

Really fun sandbox with high focus on exploration and discovery. The world changes often with short seasons, providing surprises and path changes. Limited inventory and lifespan are an inducement for careful strategizing. Heir system along with buildings and NPCs offer different ways to progress. There's a lot of lore to unlock once you're dead ^^ A run lasts for about 40 mns to an hour. Will update my review as the game evolves.

I've played for just shy of an hour and it seems good so far. I'll update again later. I don't understand it fully yet. It's a bit obtuse, but I think that's due to the extreme minimalist aesthetic. Not a huge deal, but I do wish I could change keybinds though. I'd much prefer to be able to use just the numpad since it's a RL. Anyway, it's only been out a few days but I'd recommend it. Even after 45 mins it's more fun than RLs on Steam I've paid more for.

Dungeon World is a fantasy roguelike with a satisfying main gameplay loop. A single run takes about 30-45 minutes and the world feels like it has a decent amount of secrets to discover. You may die of old age in a hole in the ground with an inventory full of souls. You may repeatedly spawn in goblin encampments and spend a few lives killing them off. You may visit your previous self's family tomb. You will probably love it. Very mature project for an Early Access title that is definitely well-designed.

Lovely, tiny and aventurous. Lots of meaningful mechanics and items coupled with very wonky world generation ends up getting you extremely varied 30-ish minute runs. You may end up playing different games altogether depending on the randomness of the world. Sometimes your only goal is to get a boat so you'll want money and for that you could just sell the souls of goblins you painfully take down. Another world may have easily-accessible mines, which have many treasures inside but it might be tough to find a way out. Maybe you got a lot of HP and want to have a heir to inherit that or you got to accidentaly become a necromancer. Maybe you entered a tunnel that leads into endless darkness and you wander aimlessly until you die of old age. Pretty fun nonetheless.
