T.W.I.R.L.

A good atmopsheric horrow-walking simulator. The story is good. I liked the artstyle. I liked the voice acting. Is decently creepy and scary. The sound design and music is also quiet good. I liked that you go trough multiple nights. The endings is also fine. Overall a good and short game well worth playing.

Somehow when I saw the first drawing ... kinda spoiler territory here ... I saw the first drawing, noticed the purple colors and then it came to me in a second "this is going to be like that a24 movie, I saw the tv glow", one of my favorite movies of all times btw, man this is beautiful and the way the story gradually unfolds, man this is beautiful and I am glad I found this, really!

Where do I begin with T.W.I.R.L.? To start, the visuals of this game are a gorgeous twist on the nostalgia and familiarity of the PSX era. There's a paradoxical warmth and coldness to the setting. Both because you wake to the crisp snow falling outside the window of a comfy Christmas interior, but also with the foreboding religious presence that almost overpowers the comfort of the character's home. Every now and then, the PSX graphics will fade to the black and white of scratchy, hand-drawn illustrations. From the very beginning you'll feel like this place that's meant to be your haven has something more sinister following you. For the playstyle, the inspiration from P.T. is clear. It's a walking simulator with repeating loops set in almost deafening silence. The pace is slow, with loneliness building the horror rather than a reliance on jumpscares. While the game itself isn't that long, there are multiple endings for you to pursue, and thankfully a chapter select for you to easily go back and find the others once you're done. On a deeper level, I'll talk about the story. T.W.I.R.L. is a very raw and authentic portrayal of inner turmoil when it comes to self-discovery. Not much…
