About MirrorMoon EP

MirrorMoon EP is a game about mystery and exploration set in outer space.
These space travels begin on a red planet and its unique moon and extend across galaxies.
The single player part of MirrorMoon EP blends adventure and exploration with navigation-based puzzle solving. The multiplayer of MirrorMoon EP lets players share Galaxy Maps with other players: the first explorers to land on a planet will be able to name its Star System and that name will be forever bound to the star for any other fellow traveler who encounters it.

Each Galaxy consists of a thousand Systems: it will be possible to fully discover the mysteries of MirrorMoon EP only while collaborating with other players.
Through the apparently indecipherable cockpit of an unknown spacecraft, players will be able to locate and travel to mysterious planets. Each planet has artifacts, buildings, and puzzles on its surface, hidden in astonishing low-poly sceneries.

MirrorMoon was nominated for the Nuovo Award for innovation in games at Independent Game Festival 2013 and was also part of the Official IndieCade and Fantastic Arcade 2012 selections. Since then, MirrorMoon has grown considerably. EP stands for Extended Play, representing all the new content that we added for the official release.

The standard puzzles are boringly easy The true puzzle is just an exercise in tedium hurt by annoying mouse controls for the cockpit (you can use keyboard/controller as well, but they operate at like one tenth the speed)

This is a very odd game but I enjoyed it. I got a little frustrated at times but eventually I was able to work out what I was supposed to it. This game really is just about going in and giving it a go. I think the ideal audience for this game is someone who likes the flying around and finding planets of Elite Dangerous or No Mans Sky but is also comfortable with an odd puzzle game. It's a small market but I can imagine some people getting particularly into this. B side personally isn't for me but I am sure people out there will enjoy it. I think it would've been best to experience in its prime when you could join a community searching for things. I am sure there might be one or two still out there but once again, I am more of a hermit really.

I think very highly of this publisher and there are alot of things I like but I can't in good conscious recommend this outside of the bundle. Some very pleasing elements on the micro: the simple but visually gripping planet navigation is enjoyable and very few games match the mood it creates. But the Macro: ship exploration, moving to other locations, and making real progress, are all either annoyingly obscure or not very enjoyable. Still, its a nice bit of experimentation that I'd recommend trying if you do get the bundle. It was worth a try at least.

strokes for different folks and all that, not sure I really enjoyed it or understood it all that well, puzzles weren't on a convoluted level but it often felt tedious movement wise
