World of Goo 2

I grew up with the original World of Goo. I still have my PC-CD copy. I was pretty excited for this but it fell short. The charm's not there. A big part of the original was The Sign Painter and the story that happened as you progress. No such thing here. Other than that I felt like everything was dull. Eventually you get to a point where you're playing just to see the end and I can't say it's worth it.

Is this a great sequel to a well regarded first game, probably NO, but it is still a solid entry. The puzzles are fine, some are a bit tedious to my liking but on overall it is OK. There are some interesting ideas, but I just could not shake off the feeling that the game was laboured rather than created with love like the first one. The game is okay. If there was a middle option on STEAM, that is what I'd rate this game. On it's own it's okay, but next to World Of Goo 1, the game's gameplay & atmosphere doesn't fight up. There are many creative gameplay ideas, but I didn't find them all that enjoyable so far.

Great new puzzles and mechanics. Very fun and challenging gameplay. But, I can't help but feel the mood was not nearly as haunting as the developers' other games. World of Goo and Little Inferno left me with a deep sunken uncomfortable feeling in my gut. Where's my dread!! I want my dread!!!! Anyway if you liked world of goo for the gameplay you'll like this sequel. Little bit short
