Club Soko

[b]7.5/10[/b] Push and get pushed as you work your way down this sokoban about clubbing and sometimes getting clubbed. [b]What is it:[/b] Imagine it's Friday, you are wrapping up your 80-hour week pushing boxes and barrels at the puzzle depot. You get a text from your friend, “Have you been to the new Club Soko?” You’re tired but curious. You rush home, dress yourself to the nines and head off to the club. Your friend is waiting at the entrance, “Apparently this club has multiple levels, each with their own music and theme.” Ready to jump in, your friend continues, “...but the deeper you go, the weirder things get.” But you had already jumped past the bouncer and heard none of this. Before you is a semi-packed floor and thumping house music. Thump Thump Thump….BUMP!! Ouch! Someone just pushed you from behind! You turn around to see a giant dude in sunglasses. “Back off! This area is off limits.” All you see behind him is a grate flush with the floor. You feel your hand shake, moving to your pocket. You look down to see a can of spray paint. “Where did that come from?” You have this sudden urge to graffiti that grate with your name. You comb the dance floor and see a sea of people …

I played Ruya from the developer a few years ago and really enjoyed that game, when I saw this one come out had to give it a try! If you enjoyed Ruya you'll enjoy this latest title from the team. The game strikes a good balance between being accessible and genuinely engaging. It teaches the player the mechanics of the game smoothly and so it doesnt feel so much like a tutorial. Puzzles are fun and challenging, making you really think for a solution, overall theme is unique and fun too!! I catch myself saying excuse me when pushing past people haha. Beyond the gameplay, one of the standout features is the theme and great music, its stylish, catchy and makes solving the tricky puzzles fun. Definitely check it out if you want a casual puzzle game with a cool soundtrack.

A very charming sokoban game! Not too challenging but it did have some good stumpers (which was often from me forgetting a mechanic xD). Entering a code into the ATM unlocked something very cute!! <3 I had an issue with reset and undo which caused the controls to lock up. However, since i was a god gamer i never had to use those buttons anyway, so it does not influence my view on the game. I only know it exists because of that one time i tried to see if the functionality existed. Jokes aside, that would be nice to get fixed, but it was nothing major ;). Besides that, it ran flawlessly on my (VERY) low-end laptop, which was nice!

I only just reached Floor 2. So far an engaging puzzler. New mechanisms are introduced at a good pace, so the puzzles don't feel repetitive.

Awesome, fresh take on sokoban with chill music and art. This game has soul. At least 10% more puzzle solving than irl club scene.

Further evidence that I am terrible at Sokoban games.
