King's Heir: Rise to the Throne is a hidden object adventure where you guide royal knight Edmund Ulmer through 38 locations across the kingdom of Griffinvale, solving puzzles and uncovering conspiracies to find the missing heir and restore the rightful crown. Packed with minigames, collectibles, and a bonus adventure, it combines mystery-solving with an intricate tale of royal intrigue and family secrets.

Two royal knights, Edmund and Randall Ulmer, are tricked into a conspiracy against the crown. Pursued by the royal guard and ruthless conspirators, the brothers embark on a dangerous journey that will uncover the kingdom's shameful secrets, restore the honor of the Ulmer family and change their fate forever.

Many years ago, the prince of Griffinvale fell in love with a poor girl and - against his father's wishes - married her. The king, unable to reconcile himself with the hopeless union, sent his son on a crusade and, in his absence, drove his young wife out of the castle. The king had counted on the fact that the prince would eventually forget about her, but his plans were ruined when his heir died in battle, and the prince’s beloved wife gave birth to a child and died in confinement. After the death of his son, the king sank into mourning, and the future of the royal line was thrown into uncertainty. The royal court was overrun with ambitions and conspiracies, from which a group of people loyal to the fallen prince decided to hide his descendant. As the royal knight Edmund Ulmer, try to find the missing heir and help him regain his crown and retake the throne of Griffinvale!

✦ AI summary

King's Heir: Rise to the Throne is a competent hidden-object adventure from Artifex Mundi that players praise for its attractive visuals, engaging storyline, and well-designed puzzles without being overly demanding. Common strengths include quality voice acting and non-repetitive music, though players note the experience is relatively brief at around 3 hours for the main game and bonus content combined. One player reported a game-breaking Mac bug, and while most recommend it as a solid casual adventure, potential buyers should consider whether the short playtime justifies their purchase.
FR/EN King's Heir : Rise to the Throne
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3319907181
---FR---

King’s Heir: Rise to the Throne is a story-driven hidden-object adventure that comfortably fits within Artifex Mundi’s well-established tradition of casual fantasy mysteries. Developed by Cordelia Games and published by Artifex Mundi, the game blends courtly intrigue, medieval fantasy, and classic point-and-click puzzle design into a concise experience that prioritizes accessibility and narrative momentum over mechanical complexity. It is clearly aimed at players who enjoy guided exploration, light problem-solving, and a steady unfolding of story rather than open-ended gameplay or demanding challenges. The narrative centers on betrayal and political conspiracy, beginning with the assassination of a king and the framing of two loyal knights. You play as Edmund Ulmer, forced into exile and pursued by royal forces while attempting to uncover the truth behind the crime. The journey quickly expands beyond simple survival, evolving into a quest to locate the rightful heir to the throne and expose the hidden powers manipulating events from the shadows. While the plot follows familiar fantasy tropes—false accusations, secret lineages, and corrupt advisors—it maintains enough intrigue to m…

Game-breaking bug on Mac in an early hidden object scene, so I cannot recommend the game for that reason.

Very beautiful game and good storyline. A regular point and click game and the music is not annoying which is a plus.
