What Steam players say

Players appreciate the colorful world, relaxing exploration, and horse-riding mechanics that appeal to younger audiences, but are consistently frustrated by broken controls (particularly horse steering sensitivity), technical issues, and confusing quest design where NPCs don't behave as dialogue suggests. The game has charm as a family-friendly Western adventure, but feels unpolished with insufficient testing before release.
Spirit Lucky's Big Adventure has nice graphics and controls well. My daughter absolutely loves it! She gets so excited when she gets her achievements! Highly recommended2 found this helpful
Typical OG game, which often feels like no one bothered to test it prior to release. Conversations doesn't make sense as well. F.i., Abigale asks you to help her searching. They agree on searching together and as soon as the conversation ends you realize that you have to search alone, while she is waiting... Uninstall!1 found this helpful
I almost refunded the game. I bought it for my youngest daughter and tried playing it on mouse and keyboard, and the controls were rough to the point even I didn't think I could enjoy the game. Thankfully it was compatible with the Steam Deck and that changed the experience. The controls weren't perfect, but they were much more enjoyable than playing on a keyboard and mouse. My daughter loves Spirit and watching her play as Lucky riding and bonding with Spirit and meeting some of her favorite characters in the series brought so much joy. I did become the designated "jumper and climber" for those mechanics were wonky. But overall she loved the game for it was made for someone her age to play. If you are an adult looking for a large open- world RPG like Star Stable, this probably isn't the game you're looking for. The quest are clearly marked, and the world is designed to be easy for younger players to explore without getting lost or overwhelmed. Once you finish the story, you can continue exploring, but as an adult the world started to feel empty for there isn't a lot of post-game content. For children tho, I think it's just the right size. It's super easy to understand without …
The story is ok, mechanics are quite ok. But... The game is broken. I have struggled with the control the entire time both with the controller and the keyboard. Everytime i want to take a slight turn, the horse runs half a mile that direction. I wouldn't recommend it, unless you are a hardcore fan of Spirit.
I extrmely like this game the adventures the quests the physics sounds i really recommend this to people who love horse riding and adventure
It reminds me of Zorro: The Chronicles in spirit but all horseback. Very pleasant and relaxing game!
