Players praise the game as an addictive space exploration sim with incredible depth, engaging content, and satisfying ship-building mechanics that can captivate players for hours. However, common complaints center on the lengthy, intrusive tutorial sequence with constant popups that feels hand-holding and difficult to skip, particularly frustrating for returning players who just want to jump back in and explore freely.
This game is fire. Brought my laptop on an international vacation so I could keep playing, if that says anything about it. Way more depth and character than I expected. I think I'd play more if there was more long-term team play, but it was well worth the money, and the time. Great game.
massive game so much to do and gets challenging quite quickly

This game has a niche but it's more along the lines of "No man's enjoyment." There is very form or flow to the game. It's open ended, I accept that but it open ended in a way that isn't logical. It's fine for the first several hours but you'll find yourself chasing meaningless objects very quickly. The entire game relies on you, the player, making objectives. That's fine for some people and the game doesn't claim to be something it's not, but it's not a survival game and crafting is both tedious and with minimal impact other than to... play the game. Not horrible but not great. If you can get it below $10 then it's worth it, above that, unless you love no objectives, pass on this one.
