Diablo® IV

The game quickly becomes trivially easy - the game only lets you ramp up the difficulty to expert before completing the campaign, and you tend to hit max level by the end of act 2, at which point you are killing most bosses almost instantly, making the campaign a constantly anti-climactic experience the first time you play it through. This is is dramatic contrast to previous diablo games, where the first time you fought most bosses it was a challenging fight, and getting to a new act within the campaign meant tougher enemies and higher level gear. Literally the only times I even take health damage is when fighting enemies who have the executioner affix. I know that people say the higher difficulties are the point of the game, but it is silly to make the players first playthrough of the campaign (torment difficulties can only be accessed via multiple campaign completions) feel completely trivial to the point that the story and tone of the game don't make sense - at that point, why force the player to go through that chore at all?

The game has cultivated hate and resentment from the day it was launched. These sentiments are not unfounded but they are not shared by me! I really do love this game. The systems in placed are polished and do no overwhelm the player. Thew progression is straight forward but engaging. The game is simple yet rewarding. This game bridged the gap between the gameplay of Diablo 2 and Diablo 3. The game looks and runs great, however I have to run on medium settings to hit my desired FPS targets. The expansions are really something special, they are expensive but definitely worth it.

As BG3 , POE player, I didn't like D4 at first because I was not aware of the difficulty modes. Mobs felt like free trash clear, but now playing on Expert, I really do love this game. I have not beat it yet, ill update once I do. I am taking my time because I like maxing out all side quests, clearing out whole map and all that before I get to main ending. Everything from ambience, side quest stories, lore, gearing, skill/talent trees, and so much more is worth every penny. It is not as good as BG3 because it does not have turn-based combat, but the graphics and story are there, ambience is unique. This is one of those games you start playing and don't get bored of, I personally love doing side quests, hearing stories of random NPCs and such. I am a new player so my review might not be as someone who had played previous Diablo games, but I really do love this. However, don't play on easy or normal because its boring... Play on Expert, where its just okay, I will be playing on permanent character death after, to make it spicy and interesting. I absolutely love character progression here too, whether its skillset you can adjust/choose or the gear all around it, including appearance …
