Finished T2 recently as im going through the series and decided to see the next game in the line.. Reading the reviews i was skeptical as people praise T1 highly while it was mediocre compared to its competition at the time.. Turdlight 3 is a complete disgrace to the series, and should never been a mainline game for the series The more i played, the more i got disgusted by it and you can see that i couldnt play for a long time. Hell ill try the F2P "Torchlight: Infinite" thing to see if its any better than this pile of garbage EDIT: Its actually pretty decent even if its filled to the brim with currencies and some gacha mechanics Gameplay is rather solid and i rather play it than this mess Game looks and feels like mobile game that would been heavily monetized It was developed as an F2P MMO called "Torchlight Frontiers" at first but clearly that project fell through and was forced to change direction quick Not the miracle story of "We realized this is better suited as successor to Torchlight 2 during development" which is just coping of a dude that couldnt make MMO he was dreaming about since T1 days without hes brother being there to save him Game contains multiple mechanics l…7 found this helpful
I didn't expect much, as the reviews have all been bad... that being said... I'm glad i only paid 5 bucks for it. It is fine for a $5 game. If I would have paid full price, i would have been pissed off. The good: nice graphics, nice loot. The building your own fort is actually really fun. the bad: controls are horrible, not a ton of side quests, no modding (which was super fun with the first 2), no pause, limited skill sets. also the maps are limited in size, no randomness, even in the side quest dungeons. If you can get it cheap, it's fun to dink around with for a little while.2 found this helpful
Interesting! Quote: "Remember that Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Probably worth a google?"2 found this helpful
Unlike the first two chapters, this one is a twin-stick shooter. This means the character can fire backwards if the mouse cursor is positioned behind them. You need to grasp this mechanic right away to avoid getting disoriented. I prefer it to the system used in the first two games, where everything—perhaps too much—was controlled with the mouse. Much better than the first two chapters. Shooting is really very effective in this game.
Torchlight 3 a very awful game. I very rarely dislike video games as much, even games that I generally dislike usually I found something good to say, admire or enjoy. This is not the case here, the game is just awful in every single aspect. There are in my opinion no redeeming qualities to this game, even the cute cartoony art style that it has looks extremely dated for such a recent game. Anything else like combat, level design, progression, story and pretty much everything else is just totally awful.
