Story

Every year in the Kingdom of Lanova, the Council of Magic holds the Chaos Trials, a gauntlet of magical challenges put forth by its strongest members. Contestants that successfully complete all of the challenges and demonstrate superior wizardry earn the right to become a Wizard of Legend!

Local Co-op

Grab a friend and tackle the Chaos Trials together in Wizard of Legend's couch co-op mode! Jump head first into the action in an all out offensive or strategically equip your wizards with spells and items that compliment each other's playstyle. The battle is not over when your friend is downed in battle. Defeat multiple enemies in a display of skill to grant your partner a chance to rejoin the battle!

This is a hard review to write. I really enjoyed Hades and decided to try Wizard of Legend. It’s not a bad game, but I didn’t like no I frames on dashes. No meta progression hurts the game a lot at least to me. Mindlessly unlocking spells and relics and robes I will never use is silly. At least some sort of stat boost or unlocking additional relics and spells to start your run would give an incentive to keep playing an unlocking. There’s also some weird things like if a cursed relic drops randomly, I have to go to a third party website to read what it is because the game just lists the name. So not a bad game per se, but a handful of small changes would elevate it to a recommended game.

Pretty fun initially but it hits an awful combination of being punishingly difficult while the gameplay loop gets stale after around 10 hours so I end up not feeling like I even need to beat the game. Maybe the 4th boss/Chaos wizard man is really cool and I'm missing out, but so be it.

#1 Rogue-Like of all time in my opinion. I love beautiful pixel art. I have put so many of my friends on this game. it feels like Infinite possibilities with spell combinations and I wish the developers never ever stop adding spells. The sequel is great but It would be great to see them go back and touch base on pixel art. 100% worth the buy.

Looks great, plays great, sounds amazing. The build variety will will keep you hooked for a long time after you've beaten the game and the soundtrack will be great to chill with long after you're done with that. This game truly is Legendary.
