Beautiful Mystic Survivors

[h3][u]It was not meant to be.[/u][/h3] Beautiful mystic Survivors was an honorable attempt at creating an anime Bullet Heaven game. It is fun to play, has decent progression and very cute characters to play as. The bosses were cool to. But you will notice me talking in past tense all the time, and that's because after a long period of no updating and delays the game had to be cancelled and will never be completed. It's a real shame because what there is to play allows for 15+ hours of gameplay and at a decent level of quality. If you can still buy this game by the time you read this review and get a large discount for it, I'd just grab it and enjoy for a while. It doesn't have bugs or anything. However, since the amount of content never reached the originally planned size and there won't be any more updates ever again, I can simply not give you a clear recommendation. There is also an alternate 18+ version of this game called Sexy Mystic Survivors where the girls lose their clothing during the fight from taking damage. But this right here is the family friendly version and you won't even notice it was supposed to be an H-game to begin with. [h3]tl;dr[/h3] Game is dead but enjoy…

Can't recommend an abandoned game...

A quick slop to hop on Vampire Survivor train, Steam should delete these slops out of their game database to save space and people's time.

TLDR; Despite not realizing its full potential, Beautiful Mystic Survivors is a classic Survivors-like experience with a variety of charming character designs and good tracks, especially worth the value if ever on sale. I went into this game knowing it was incomplete. I had seen the comments, dev notes, a lot was posted here on Steam. With this in mind, I wanted to know if Beautiful Mystic Surivors would be worth my time. In short, yes. First and foremost, this a classic Survivors-like experience. 6 weapons, 6 passives, weapons go to level 8 and passives to 5, match the passive to a maxed out weapon and chest drops give evolved weapons. Simple. Mystic Survivors is generous in that the game tells you what passive evolves a weapon when it levels up during a game, very handy. There are a variety of characters that all start with a different weapon and have a unique ability, again, nothing revolutionary. What is different is that all weapons and passives have a rarity system. For example, the Crystal Bow can be offered to you as a weapon upon level up. However, taking another option and leveling again could have you rolling the same weapon but at a rare, epic, or legendary rarity…

Not Meh ( But Abandoned :/ )

Most of the negative reviews are because of the dev abandoning this game in early access, which is a fair complaint. But the game itself is decent, I'd even say that it's above average for a survivors-like game especially for how cheap it is.
