A very unique RTS that is worth experiencing, but there is a remaster that restores cut content, so that is recommended instead of this: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2530170/PERIMETER_Legate_Edition/2 found this helpful
Perimeter is a science fiction real-time strategy game developed by K-D Lab and published by Fulqrum Publishing that distinguishes itself by abandoning many of the conventions that define the genre. Rather than relying on familiar formulas centered on harvesting resources and constructing ever-larger armies, the game introduces a strategic framework built around environmental manipulation, energy distribution, and territorial dominance. Even though it originally launched in the early 2000s, its ideas remain refreshingly unconventional, making it one of the more memorable RTS experiences for players looking for something beyond traditional base-building warfare. The story takes place after humanity escapes a collapsing Earth and begins a dangerous migration through the mysterious Psychosphere, an interconnected dimension linking countless worlds. Different factions pursue their own beliefs regarding humanity's future, creating ideological conflicts that serve as the backdrop for the campaign. Instead of emphasizing cinematic storytelling, the narrative focuses on atmosphere and world-building, presenting players with surreal landscapes, unusual technologies, and an alien setting th…
Perimeter is a good strategy game with a weird story. Gameplay wise it lacks some user friendly features and QoL, but it's really enjoyable and has a lot of in depth systems that make every mission interesting (but only if failing multiple times and difficulty isn't a problem for you). The story feels like it was written by a psycopath obsessed with bald people for some reason.
Perimeter offers a unique blend of real-time strategy and sci-fi adventure. Its innovative mechanics and engaging gameplay keep you hooked for hours. Stunning graphics and challenging missions make it a must-play for strategy fans.
Game will not launch, comes up with this error: "Cannot load font: RESOURCE\LocData\Russian\Fonts\Aero.font" Very strange.
