Great classic strategy game with detailed unit models and a campaign that feels like a game build around a story, not a ham-fisted addition. Use 'F' to follow your units to see all the details from the vehicle shocks and bumps driving over dunes, to other details.
right click to move and right click to rotate view? the overlapping key hell annoying it spins view while control units this is why none of single person on online play. its dead game. it just clueless why they dont let anyone to change hotkey even its so bad at default
My first introduction to the homeworld series, I must say I was very impressed. The story was interesting and engaging, the voice acting was great and the background audios really helped build immersion. The gameplay mechanics were also very interesting. One of the best RTS games I've played in a while, highly recommend.
Good game for price when on sale.
The legendary space RTS series Homeworld goes down the well and pulls off a sick landing with this title. Absolutely stunning visuals and physics (excepting the occasional bug, which hasn't effected my gameplay experience). I've been looking for a game to scratch the RTS itch for a while, after playing the Supreme Commander series for many years, and getting my hopes up about titles like Ashes of the Singularity (good game, but it's a different vibe than SupCom or Homeworld). I found it in the Deserts of Kharak. The story and cutscenes are beautiful, punchy, fully voiced, and dripping with style, like the game itself. If you're a fan of RTS games, add this one to your collection, it's well worth full price and you will find it on sale often. :D
