War Birds: WW2 Air strike 1942

[h1]Verdict: DO NOT BUY THiS.[/h1] It does not happen many times I write this, but this game is just a boring, generic, unrefined "flash-game-like" product.

Gameplay-wise: you can skip this one, nothing interesting. Just get an Amiga emulator and play some Wings of Fury instead. Or Wings! (or the Remastered Edition on Steam sale)

Outdated and Broken. Its only good for the profile badges now.

I like this game, but it is too difficult to be successful. Perhaps hardcore players have the time and talents to play this game, but I don't.

War Birds: WW2 Air strike 1942 is a simplistic 2D shootemup with a WW2 theme. The game has a tablet-like microtransaction shop (although it seems everything can be bought with in-game currency on the PC version, you can see what they were trying for). Missions involve flying around on a 2d plane and shooting bombers and fighters, and buying "upgrades" in the shop. Gameplay and graphics here are very poor, especially for 2016, they feel like at least a decade old. Controls are very clunky feeling, and the gameplay is just primitive and reminiscient of Asteroids or Space War more than a flight sim. You can get games like War Thunder for free if you want historical flight games, this is a shallow impersonation of a real game.

Gets boring and repetative extremely quickly, has a strange in game currency system mainly geared towards replenishing your ammo and fuel, but missions are almost all so short as for that to be un-neccesary. Fighting ground units is painful and unengaging, often leaving me frustrated rather than interested. Not worth it.
