Twixel is a minimalist low poly endless runner with a basic twist, you have to control two entities through two different obstacle courses at the same time. Ok whatever. This is not better or more interesting than an endless runner, nothing takes away from this being the lowest denominator of all gaming formats, and with worse presentation than endless runners like Temple Runner, it's difficult to see any appeal for gamers here, especially considering this is a paid product. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics (but you can make them worse with a "2D make the game suck even more" mode). The game features lazy minimalist/untextured low-polygon "retro" assets and visuals, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the early 1990…

I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of y…

Twixel, developed by Caesoose Studios and self-published on Steam, is a minimalist yet ferociously demanding arcade game that tests both reflexes and multitasking ability in equal measure. At its core, the concept is deceptively simple: players control two small cubes—one on the left side of the screen, the other on the right—while guiding them through separate streams of obstacles that move and shift with increasing speed. What begins as an intuitive exercise in coordination quickly becomes a test of mental endurance, as each half of the player’s brain must process and react to independent challenges simultaneously. This dual-control system transforms Twixel into an experience that is both mesmerizing and maddening, combining simplicity of design with extreme mechanical difficulty. From the moment the game begins, it wastes no time introducing its punishing rhythm. The player moves each cube using separate keys—typically one hand managing the left side and the other managing the right—creating a split-focus gameplay loop that demands complete concentration. The challenge grows exponentially as obstacles become more intricate and the speed accelerates. Every second of survival fee…
