Gold Rush In The Oort Cloud

Gold Rush in the Oort Cloud is a 2D physics/twin stick shooter where you jump around on little asteroids and shoot spider robots. There's no mining or resource management. The game strangely starts out in first person view, but there's no real first person gameplay. Once you get past the first person start area, the game switches to lazy 2D and you're stuck there. Fun. The art assets are very low quality here, and the game makes no sense in terms of construction. The first person phase has very poorly rendered low-poly/low res texture graphics and the game gets worse from there. Gameplay is very clunky and unpolished in twin stick shooter mode. You can easily jump too far off an asteroid and die, but this seems more fun than playing the game. This just comes across as incomplete, rambling shovelware. Impossible to recommend at any price, let alone the $6 they want for it.

A spacesuit and firearm are provided, but these are presented as privileges that can quickly disappear if the prisoner refuses to cooperate. The corporation's threatening attitude establishes a dystopian atmosphere while also serving as the foundation for the game's deliberately crude humor.
